MY ANSWER Question: I would like to go to a church, but I have never had anything to do with churches and frankly I am afraid of making a fool out of myself you know, standing at the wrong time or something Billy Graham like that. Can you understand this? Mrs.

S.McD. Answer Yes, I can. But don't let your fear of possible embarrassment keep you from seeking a church. I sense from what you say that God is giving you a desire to know Him, and one of" the ways of doing this is in a church where Christ is preached. Most churches provide a printed program to help you follow along, and even if you sit in the back the first few times and only observe the service, others will want to make you feel at home if they are sincerely following Christ.

No church should make outsiders feel like they are visiting an exclusive club. One characteristic of Jesus which impressed people was His openness to all kinds of people, even those who weren't religious. Important as a church is for our spiritual growth, however, realize that you can come to know Christ right now. God loves you, and Christ died for your sins and rose again from the dead so you could be saved. By a simple prayer of faith ask Christ to come into your life today, and then ask Him to guide you to a fellowship of other Christians where you can "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter Tribune Media Services it msutsm 0 WITH cy safely 0 "I'd recommend your wmur to anyone who wants to lot weight" Matt N.
