Phone White 89 Han Crops To Cut Machine Costs Planning your crops to require fewer harvesting machines can cui machinery expense on Fayette County farms this year, says County Extension Director M. C. Wangsness of Fayette. If your cropping plans call for a corn picker, combine, baler, and field chopper, you'll have money tied up in four kinds of equipment—while you might get uy wiin two. Wangsness says that Kenneth K. Barnes, Iowa State College agricultural engineer, advises spreading unit costs over as many acres as possible. Liarnes states that some farms growing corn, oats, and hay use several harvesting systems. They mignt combine the oats, chojp the first cutting of hay, bale the second and third cutting of hay, and pick Iho corn. But this requires four machines. NOTICE" OF INCORPORATION OF D. & H.
