MASSACHUSETTS Radio-TV Timetable Week of Aug. 25th-Aug. 31st SATURDAY AFTERNOON, AUG. 24. 1963 Mystery Theater to Give New Play SUNDAY, AUGUST 25 7.30-8.30 (NBC) — Walt Disney's Wonderful World ot Color shows "Operation Undersea," which will be new to most kids — it was last shown in ]95<i. It's part live, part cartoon and deals with the ocean depths. (Color.) 10-11 (NBC) - "The Interrogator," repeated on Show of the Week, is a good story of passion and hatred among theCypriot terrorists and the English police on Cyprus. John Mills, Robert Loggia and Ian Balm star. (Color). 10.30-11 (ABC) — The third of the five-part Crucial Summer: The 1963 Civil Rights Crisis series discusses the march on Washington, set for this Wednesday, and its ramifications. * -•> * MONDAY, AUGUST 26 8.30-9 (CBS) — Vacation Playhouse shows "Swingin" Together," a rock-'n'-rol! pilot film that has nothing much, except Bobby Rydell singing, drumming and smiling. If that's enough, tune in. 9-10 (CBS) — "The Ballad of Louis the Louse" on The Comedy Hour Specials is a repeat of an original musical comedy, starring Phil Silvers, Betsy Palmer and Eddie Albert. Some fun, some good songs. 10-11 (ABC) — Kim Stanley stars in the repeat two-part Ben Casey melodrama which begins this week. She plays a lawyer who is also a drug addict, and sparks fly when she and Vincent Edwards clash. * * * TUESDAY, AUGUST 37 8.30-9.30 (NBC) — Empire's repeat stars Telly Savalas as a former Hungarian freedom fighter, now an illegal immigrant, whose personal troubles bring him to the Garret ranch. (Color.). 9.30-10.30 (NBC) "The Third Side of the Coin," repeated on The Dick Powell Show, is a good drama in which you must decide whether June Allyson is a sweet thing (as John Forsythe thinks) or a blackmailer (as Hugh Marlowe believes). 10-11 (CBS) — The Keefe Brasselle Show has Carol Channing and Julius LaRosa on hand to help out the home team. Regulars Brasselle, Ann B. Davis, Rocky Graziano and Noelle Adam will also appear. WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR — Taking • dive is the order of business for these diver-actors who worked on "Operation Undersea" on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. GL 8-3719 WILLIAMSTOWN lawyers who become involved in the case of a Japanese gardener accused of being a master criminal. 10-11 (CBS) — The Armstrong Circle Theater repeats "Escape to Nowhere," the story of an escape from Alcatraz which (probably) led to the escapees' death in the waters of San Francisco Bay. * » « THURSDAY, AUGUST 29 8.30-9.30 (NBC) — Polly Bergen stars in the Dr. Kildare repeat, playing two roles. She plays twins — a dying woman and the sister who could help her twin live if she chooses to do so. 10-11 (CBS) — The Nurses' repeat is the one in which Zina Bethune shows her ballet ability, in a story of Nurse Gail Lucas' inner struggle over whether to stay with nursing or become a dancer. 10-11 (NBC)—Although i'ts been shown three times before. The Story of Will Rogers is still worth seeing. This Project 20 film is a fine study of the man and his era, with Bob Hope narrating. * * * FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 8.30-3.30 (CBS) — Route G6's repeat has Dick York playing a former soldier whose mind has become that of a child since an injury. It is a distinct tear-jerker, with a good acting job by York. 9-9.30 (ABC) — good fun on " the repeat on I'm Dickens. . . He's Fcnstcr.with a bet the crux of the cdmeT^-SferfJuJngels is the carpenters' favorite to <*e^_a date with a beautiful girl beforeNJie painters' champion can succeed^ 9.30-10.30 (CBS) — The AlfrlSd Hitchcock Hour repeats "Dear Uncle George," a story of a cal* culated murder plot — with the" 1 ' killer apparently getting away with it. Gene Barry and John Larkin star. * * • SATURDAY, AUGUST 31 7.30-8.30 (CBS) — "Lucy Goes to Sun Valley" tells you all you need to know about The Lucy-Deal Comedy Hour repeat. Ski jokes, right? Right. Fernando Lamas helps out on this slapstick hour. 7.30-8.30 (NBC) — Sam Benedict repeats * provocative drama about •a teacher (Robert Lansing) who deliberately breaks a law designed to censor books. Edmood O'Brien defends him in a small town. 8.30-9.30 (CBS) — Tte Defender* "repeat deals with bribery in high places, and E. G. Marshall and Robert Reed get involved deeply in a well-paced case. Joan, Hackett plays an integral part ia the proceedings.
