Jose Cristaldo stung the Indy Daredevils with three second-half goals Sunday, leading his New York Eagles to a 4-2 American Soccer League decision. Taking advantage of loose marking by Devils' defenders, Cristaldo tallied twice within seven minutes of second half to break open a 1-1 deadlock.

Then, after Indy had closed to 3-2, Cristaldo again found the net in the game's final minute for the insurance goal. It was the fourth consecutive loss for the 2-5-5 Daredevils, all on the road. They'll return home to Butler Bowl Saturday to entertain the Los Angeles Skyhawks. Sunday, Pranko Samotovic gave the hosts a quick 1-0 lead in the 11th minute. He picked a loose ball out of a scramble in front of the Indy goal and knocked it past Devils' goalie Pete Mannos.

THE DAREDEVILS tied it at 1 in the 18th minute. Ben Addoque received a corner kick from Mike Kelley and passed to Colin McLocklin, whose effort from 10 yards away found the lower right corner of the net. Cristaldo was nearly the entire show in the second half Indy making it close at 3-2 in the 68th minute. Then, the Devils' Gene Geimer knocked the ball from the reach of Eagles' goalie Stanis-lav Ajdzizonic and Tim Logush drilled it into the net. AMERICAN ASSOCIATION CASTf HN DIVISION Pet.

Bid Starts Workouts For Belmont Stakes Baltimore (AP) With two-thirds of the Triple Crown already under his girth, Hawksworth Farm's Spectacualr Bid put in his first serious move for the June 9 Belmont Stakes with a six-furlong workout in 1:14 flat at Pimlico Race Course Sunday. The youngest millionaire in thoroughbred history was trackside at 815 a.m. under 117 pound exercise rider Robert A. Smith and jogged slowly once around before breaking off down the backstretch. His eighth-of-a-mile fractions were :12, :24, :36, :48 15, 1:01 35 and 1:14 over a strip listed good.

"That was good for him," trainer Grover (Buddy) Delp, who watched the move under overcast skies from the grandstand apron, remarked on his way back to the barn. I 041 010 001-1 1 0 Iowa Omaha Self Defense Tae Kwon Do, Karate for Men, Women Children Irish Edge Yugoslavia Kragujevac, Yugoslavia (AP) Bill Hanzlik's 20-foot jump shot with one second left gave the touring University of Notre Dame a stunning 84-82 upset victory over top-ranked Yugoslavian na-tiona team Saturday night.

The Irish led 68-60 with four minutes remaining. But K. Cosic, the 6-foot-ll center who played his college ball for Bngham Young, scored five baskets to rally the Yugoslavs. D. Kicanovic then tied the game 82-82 with two free throws with 12 seconds left before Hanzlik dropped in the game-winning basket.

An overflow crowd of more than 6.000 watched Notre Dame forge an early 19-9 lead before Yugoslavia got rolling with a powerful inside game. The Irish trailed 41-39 at half-time.
