She also had been a bookkeeper 22 years for the Johnson County Farm Bureau, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Long was a member of Union Christian Church, Franklin, and was a life member of the American Angus Association, having one of the oldest active memberships in the nation. Services: 11 a.m. Dec.

Mr. McClarnon was a life member of the Purdue Alumni Association, past president of the Rotary Club, Wabash, and a member of the Elks Club, Shelbyville. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.

He was 85. Hearst was the last surviving son of the legendary newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst.

Randolph Hearst was chairman of the family's media empire from 1973 to 1996.
