Campaign Against Drying Weeds Begun The street depnrtmerit today began its annual campaign to compel property owners to eliminate weeds from private lots. All street department employees were Instructed to see that weeds and dry grass are not allowed to grow on public property.

Four-deputy sidewalk inspectors were ordered, to patrol the city In search of lots where dry grass is being allowed to grow too lavishly. The owners of such property will be Instructed to cut or burn, the dry grass or weeds within 10 days after notification. If the lot Is not then cleared, the city has tho right to clear th property and assess the cost against the. property Owners, as provided In Ordinance 333.
