C. 97 RECC HO Ground -Breaking Set Near Winchester Wednesday Special to The Courier -Journal WINCHESTER, Ky. Some 700 persons are expected to attend the ground breaking ceremonies for the new headquarters facilities of East Kentucky RECC Wednesday. The ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. at the site, 011 U.S.

60 three miles west of Winchester. Gov. Edward T. Breathitt will speak and participate in the ground with East Kentucky RECC breaking H. L.

Spurlock and the members of the advisory committee of the East Kentucky RECC board of directors. A number of officials from Washington as well as state and local leaders have been invited to attend. The headquarters facilities will be on a 56-acre site and will have 37.000 square feet of floor space. More than 80 offices will provide space for 120 employes. A 300-seat auditorium, and an additional community room with seating capacity of 250 persons, which may also be used as a dining room, are planned.

Kentucky Deaths Funeral for Mrs. Ed Booher, 64, Cave City, will be p.m. Sunday at Liberty Methodist Church near Burkesville. She died Friday at Community Hospital, Glasgow. Her husband and a son, Kyle Booher of Louisville, survive.

Bobbie Bowles. Funeral for Henry Anderson Phillips, 75, Junction City, will be at 2 p.m. Sunat Stith Funeral Home at Shelby City, Boyle County. He died Friday at Veterans Hospital, Lexington. The funeral for Thurman Thomas Hudson, 55, of 2701 Helm, Louisville, will be at 2 p.m.

Monday at Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will be in Beech Ridge Cemetery in Shelby County. He died Friday, in Veterans Hospital, Louisville. been employed by Western Union for 40 years. Survivors include three brothers and a sister.

Funeral for Jesse Floyd 64, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Floyd, a retired restaurant operator, died Friday at Venice, where he had been living several months. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anna Lee Williams Floyd, and a son, Jesse Floyd Shelbyville.

Mrs. Bertha L. Newcomb, 75, died Saturday at her home in the Pleasant Hill community in Taylor County. She was the wife of George Newcomb. Funeral, 2 p.m.

Monday at Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home, Campbellsville. The funeral for Garrett Underwood, 51, Hodgenville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Moriah Baptist Church Mount Sherman. He died Friday night at his home. He was a retired Civil Service employe at Ft.

Knox. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Christine Underwood and his mother, Mrs. Vernie Mansfield of Mt. Sherman.

The funeral for Mrs. Mellie Bethel, 86, Hodgenville, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hodgenville Baptist Church. She died Friday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Williams in Hodgenville.

Funeral for Mrs. Hurley, 72, McVeigh, Pike County, be at 1 Emory, p.m. Sunday at Pinsonfork Church of God. She died Friday at her home. Her husband survives.

Louisville Man, 26, Chokes to Death Sitting in Car Hubert Earl King, 26, of 7903 Columbine Drive, Pleasure Ridge Park, was found dead in his automobile yesterday at 5:30 a.m. Chief Deputy Coroner William Anderson said King, who was found slumped in the front seat, had suddenly become ill and choked to death. A native of Hart County, King was a machine operator at the Tube Turns Division of Chemetron Corp. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

63, formerly vice president and general manager of retail sales for Standard Oil Co. of Kentucky, died at 3 a.m. yesterday at Methodist Evangelical Hospital. Simmons started with Standard Oil as a service station attendant 45 years ago. In 1961 he was elected a director and in 1962 he was elected vice president.

In 1963 he was elected. chairman of the Kentucky Travel Council. Simmons resigned from the company last April because of ill health. He was a member of the Deer Park Baptist Church and lived at 216 Alcott. He was native of Galesburg, Ill.

Survivors include his widow, the for. mer Lillian Eggleston: a daughter, Mrs. R. Harold Mincey, and two grandsons. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.
