Renner 3-7350 Pownal Selectmen Schedule Hearing On 2 Road Closings The Pownal Selectmen have posted notices of hearings to be held at the Town Hall on Aug. 23 relative to closing two sections of town highway which have not been used for some time. The board proposes to close a one-eighth mile section of Town Selected Highway, Barber's Pond I?oad. The stretch of road under: consideration has been superseded by the construction of a new piece of road slightly to the east of the grade. The primary-middler class is for children who have completed Grades I, 2, 3, and 4. ! Teachers are as follows: preschool, Mrs. Roland O. Boucher, old action. -Since (he relocated; MK . The Selectmen will visit the two locations at 1.30 and 2.30 p.m. respectively on Friday Aug. 9. Following the hearing slated for Aug. 23 at i.30 and depending on the feeling at the public hearings, the Selectmen will decide on further status o! the road. AH interested parties have been notified of (ho proposed action and unless objections to the action are made public the roads will bo abandoned. Church Resumes ' Services Aug. 4 The Pownal Center Community Church will resume services on Sunday Aug. 4, following the annual July closing. Howard V,i;i Horn of Williams- dick, and Eloise Burdick.
