Old Drive, called by his owner, Farmer Jake Light, "the best coon dog in Reynolds County," fell into a riarrow ravine and down into the cave during a raccoon hunt July 2. About seventy persons were on hand tonight as Henry Light, son of the dog's owner, leaned over the hole the farmers had made, tossed a lasso around the animal and lifted him to the surface. From Mouths of Babes Bushton, July 12 OP) When Mrs.

Karl Schuster commanded her 16-month-old daughter Karla to open her mouth, the child disgorged twelve ear bobs of various sizes, a metal hair clasp, a medium-sized cork, a half-inch screw, a rubber band and an Oklahoma sales tax token. r13 GUEST the Mary Anderson will bring back its former road show, "The Adventures of Mark Twain," v.hlch hits pictorially the highlights in the career of Samuel Clemens, author of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, "The Prince and the Pauper" and other stories. There also will be a change of program at Scoop today. The main events on this bill will be latest War Department film, "Attack, reported to be one of the finest and most spectacular movies of the year, and "Liberation of Rome," showing the Italian campaign from Messina to Rome. By deduction it is evident that the two new bills will be presented at the Rialto and at the Strand.

PURCELL RYAN heard of and among these are Tamara Toumanova, ballerina in the Ballet Russe de Monte and Gregory Peck, a young actor who has had several parts in New York and made good in them. Robinson had an idea in casting this way that audiences would not be distracted from the story by familiar faces. To temper the gloom surrounding "Days of Glory," which is reported to be a somber, realistic movie, the Strand will offer as its associate production, "Seven Days Ashore," which concerns a trio of heroes on a skylarking leave. Marcy McGuire is one of the performers in this cast and with her are Wally Brown, Alan Carney, Freddie Slack and his Orchestra and Freddie Fisher and his band. 'The Chinese Follies On National Stage Fritlay The National will wait until Friday to change its program offering on the stage, "The Chinese Follies," which is heralded as an "all-star" attraction.

Among the entertainers, including a chorus of Chinese girls, are Peter Chan, formerly with "Hellzapoppin';" Kim, a magician; Mei Lings, a dance team; Kathryn Lee Chang, singer, and The Wong Sisters, dancers. The screen attraction this stage revue will be "The Mystery of the 13th Guest" with Helen Parrish, Dick Purcell and Tim Ryan. The source of the film play is Armitnge Trail's "The Thirteenth Guest." Windsor and Duchess Are to Visit U. S. Miami.

July 12 (U.R) Douglas Robey, British vice consul here, said the Duke and Duchess of Windsor are expected in this country within a few days. Other sources said the two would arrive her Thursday and would stay only briefly before going North, presumably to Washington and New York. Hartford, July 12 The Ringling Brothers Barnum Bailey circus was put in the hands of a receiver today by order of Judge John, H. King of the Superior Court. Judge King named former Town Judge Edward S.

Rogin of Newington as receiver on application of Julius B. Schatz, counsel for a number of persons who have brought suit against the circus as a result of injuries in the fire which last Thursday swept the main tent and resulted in a death toll of 163. Under a Connecticut statute, the receiver, after posting bond, wil take immediate possession of the circus and have an inventory made. All attachments filed thus far against the circus corporation, Schatz said, become automatically dissolved, with all claims placed on an equal basis. The attorney said all claims must be filed with the receiver.

War Worker Held In Slaying. Seattle, July 12 Ed Heber-ling, 34, married shipyard worker, today was charged with first-degree murder of Harriett Louise Lindstrom, 14-year-old neighbor, who was beaten and stabbed to death in her bedroom Monday. Detective Capt. Wesley N. Miller said Ileberling confessed he slew the girl to stop her screams when she resisted him.

HE WAR DEPARTMENT is presenting its latest movie, "Attack, as the main attraction at Scoop today and here is an Army Signal Corps picture from the film showing members of the 158th Infantry Regiment on Arawe waiting for the artillery, mortar and machine-gun fire to stop so they can move forward. This film is Casey Robinson's first movie.
