Survey of Teeth Conditions Made Fort survey by seven dentists among 1,252 pupils in the Fort Atkinson schools has been completed since the city council passed a resolution for fluorination of the water supply.

A chicken dinner will be served in the high school gym followed by entertainment and dancing to the music of Art Mussehl and his orchestra.

The dinner will be held at 6:45 p. m. Monday. Ben Ruse, Madison, will be the speaker and the. Lake Mills Lions club quartet will sing several nujr.bcrs.

Lake Mills Church Aids Endowment Fund Lake part of a campaign to endow a professorship in the Moravian college and Theological seminary, the Lake Mills Moravian church has turned in $8,568, it was reported by Homer Graper, chairman of the sesquicentennial campaign committee. The team of Captain Lloyd Strasburg was high, with $1,100. Members of the team are Ora Bielke, Max Punzel, Clarence Broom and Arthur Korth." Fort Young Farmers to Celebrate First Birthday Fort Fort Atkinson Young Farmers' club will review its activities for the past year and look ahead toward future achievements at its annual meeting to be held Monday evening, Feb. 14, in the junior high school. The Young Farmers' club was launched one year ago for the purpose of furthering a program of social, educational and recreational advancement by the youth of our rural communities. Officers of the organization for 1948, who were elected by the dir-ectors at the first annual meeting, include Craig Beane, president; Francos Cooper, vice president; Allan Vosburg, secretary; Dick Noi'they, with Forrest Gerloff and Robert George the remaining directors. M.

F. Ro.ss, former agriculture director at Fort Atkinson schools, started night classes for the Young Farmers organization at the time it was formed and continued as its instructor until the spring of 1948. At the opening of the fall term of 1948, E. A. Bergemann, who replaced Ross on the high school faculty, took over the class and has continued as instructor of the group.

The Young Farmers joined the F.F.A. in promoting the Fall Festival and Plowing Contest and the 1943 event was an outstanding achievement, with Earl Heinz serving as general chairman. The club has pledged $500 to furnish a room in the new Fort Memorial hospital and under the chairmanship of Bob George, two scrap drives have been conducted in the rural area which have brought a return of more than two-thirds of the amount necessary to meet the pledge. The Young Farmers club takes part in the city's Softball league and also has formed a basketball team. The first year's membership of 54 was increased to 125 in 1948.

The 1949 membership drive will get underway with the annual meeting. for the coming year will be elected at the annual session with directors to be chosen to replace Forrest Gerloff and Allan Vosburg, whose terms expire. School Has Oponlns'S Classes in the vocational school are being filled but several departments can still accommodate students, it was announced. These are the general clothing class, textile painting, furniture refinishing, slip cover construction and knitting and rug making. Those desiring entrance into other classes may have their names placed on the waiting list.

In the clothing cias.ses the schedule Beginners, Monday and Wednesday, 2 to 4, and 7:15 to 9 p. children's, Wednesday, 9 to 11 a. advanced, Tuesday, 2 to 4 p. m. The children's clothing class and the advanced class is filled at present, but women interested may join the general clothing class under the direction of Mrs.

Tress Meek. Alumni Banquet Tonight The Alumni Founders' Day banquet will be held tonight in the Congregational meeting house, R. K. Frokcr, the sixth man to serve as dean of the Wisconsin college of agriculture since it was- established more than 60 years ago, will be the principal speaker. All icsidents from Fort Atkinson and Jefferson who attended the university arc eligible to purchaia tickets for the affair.

Legion to Meet The local unit of the American Legion Auxiliary will meet Wednesday at the Dugout. At 7:15 the executive board will meet to consider the program and at 8 o'clock the unit will be in session to consider the report and recommendations of the board and listen to the report of the committees. The unit is invited to the Ladies' night meeting of the Legion post on Feb. 16, at which time the department president, Mrs. Oscar Onsgard, DeForest, will be the guest speaker.

The unit needs four members to go over the top. The Jefferson County Voiture 750, 40-8, will meet at Flarie's Dugout, Jefferson, Thursday evening. On the list of important items facing the voyageurs is the location of the March 10 enade, and the wTeck to be held on April 13 at Palmjra.
