Greenwood, formerly of Indianapolis, died Monday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday In Singleton Hen-Madison Avenue Mortuary, with calling from 11 a.m. until services. He had been a tube repairman more than 40 years for Unlroyal Tire and Rubber Indianapolis, retiring in 1970.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. De Moss was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Indianapolis. Survivors: wife, Retha M.

Eubank De Moss; sister, Doris Flghtmaster: brothers, David, Arthur, Floyd and Roland De Moss. He was first elected to a government office In 1936 as Lawrence County clerk, a post he held for two terms before moving to Indianapolis In 1944 to attend law school. From, 1944 to 1948, Mr. Steele was executive secretary and administrative assistant to then-Gov. Ralph Gates.

While county clerk, he also served as president of the Indiana Clerk's Association. Mr. Steele also had been a Republican national committeeman; chairman of the Indiana State Young Republicans and 9th District Young Republicans; president of the Klwanis Club and the Junior Chamber of Commerce (now Jaycees), both in Bedford; and trustee of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the board of managers of the Indiana State Bar Association for two years; a past president and six-year board member of the Bedford School Board; a two-year president of the Indiana University Law School Alumni Association: a past president of the Lawrence County Bar Association: a 25-year board member of Bedford National Bank; and a board member of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce. He also had been the first freshman legislator appointed to the Indiana Legislative Advisory 'Commission and was a past chairman of the Organizational Courts and Court Procedures committees for eight years.

Mr. Steele was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by five Indiana governors. Survivors: 'wife, Marie Ellis Steele: daughter, Darlene McSoley; sons, Byron W. and Brent E. Steele: sister, Helen S.

Davis; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild. been Logansport's County prosecutor Elks Association and was named that group's grand exalted ruler in 1970. He was a member and trustee of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Logansport. Mr. Miller was a graduate of Indiana University School of Law.

He was a member and past president of the Indiana and American bar associations and the Federal Communications Bar Association. He had been named a Sagamore of the Wabash and a Kentucky Colonel. In 1987, he received the Book of Golden Deeds award from the Logansport Evening Exchange Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elks National Home in care of the Logansport Elks Lodge or through the funeral home. He was the widower of Mary Margaret DeHaven Miller.

Shirley Brothers New Thompson Road Gary R. Grose Chapel Is handling arrangements. He had been a firefighter 30 years for the Indianapolis Fire Department, retiring in 1979. In 1991, Mr. Burns was a doorkeeper for the Indiana House of Representatives.

and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Steele A graduate of Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, Mr.

Steele had been an attorney since 1948 and was still in practice in his three-generation family law firm. Steele. Steele, Steele McSoley In Bedford. He was a former resident of Indianapolis. From 1969 to 1973, Mr.

Steele was chairman of the Indiana Highway Commission and led an expansion project for Ind. 37, broadening to four lanes the stretch of highway from the Marlon-Johnson county line to the Intersection with US. 50 in Lawrence County. Under his direction, 309 miles of interstate highway were opened or reconstructed and 550 highway bridges were built. "1 look to my work with the highway commission with more pride than anything I've done in the government field," he told The Indiana-polls News in 1987.

A Republican, Mr. Steele was Joint state senator for Lawrence, Orange and Martin counties from 1954 to 1962. He also served as attorney for the Indiana Senate from 1948 to 1954. Glenn Miller had city lawyer, Cass Logansport, Ind. Services for Glenn L.

Miller, 90, Logansport. former Cass County prosecutor and Logansport city attorney, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday In Kroeger Funeral Home, with calling from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

He died Saturday. An attorney, he was senior member of the law firm of Miller, Tol-bert, Muehlhausen, Muehlhausen and Groff, Logansport. He also had been county prosecutor, city attorney and attorney for Logansport Community School Corp. Mr. Miller was a former owner of WSAL Radio.

He was a past chairman of the Cass County American Red Cross fund drive: a past director of the LogansportCass County Chamber of Commerce: a trustee of the Neal Home: and a past president of Logansport Kiwanls Club. A member of the Logansport Elks Lodge for more than 65 years, Mr. Miller was awarded its first Elk of the Year award in 1971. He also was a past president of the Indiana GLADYS W. HOPKINS BAILEY, 77.

Indianapolis, died Monday. Services, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, with calling from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.

RUTH M. PFEIFFER BLUM, 85, Indianapolis, died Monday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday In First Baptist Church, Cumberland, with calling from 10 a.m. until services.

She had been a self-employed beautician for 25 years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Buck-ner was a member of Garfield Park United Church of Christ. She was the widow of Vinard S. Buckner.
