The widow of Louis J. Schauers, she was born in Jennings County and lived in Indianapolis 45 years. She was a member of Prentiss Presbyterian Church where she was ad deaconess; the Millersville Order of the Eastern Star; and Gamma Kappa Church Secretary Sorority. She was president of the chapter at the time of her death. She had worked at Third Christian Church a year and a half.

Memorial contributions be made to Prentiss Presbyterian Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel, with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs.

Barbara L. Henry of Indianapolis. Mrs. Sidman Mrs. Charlotte Dilley Sidman, 93, Virginia Beach, formerly of Indianapolis, died Monday at Virginia Beach.

She was the widow of H.F. Sidman. A native of Alexis, and an Indianapolis resident 45 years, Mrs. Sidman was one of the founders of the Indianapolis Art League in 1932, and a member of the Indiana Artists Association. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

Wednesday in Peace Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery, followed by entombment. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Eileen Ewing of Virginia Beach; and two sons, Joseph Cox of Raleigh, N.C., and Howard Sidman of Jacksonville, Ill. William R. Brewer Services for William R.

Brewer, 22, 1924 West Riviera Drive, an employe of McDonald's Restaurants, will be held at 1 p. m. Wednesday in Bethel AME Church, with burial in New Crown Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a. m.

today in Stuart Mortuary. He died Friday in Wishard Memorial Hospital after he was found in a partially submerged car in the Indianapolis Water Company Canal in the 1400 block of West 31st Street with five bullet wounds in his head. He attended Westlane Junior High School and North Central High School and participated in wrestling and weightlifting. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

George Gibbs, and a sister, Mrs. Celeste Nance, all of Indianapolis. James E. Strunk James E. Strunk, 59, 11659 Cable Drive, Oaklandon, died Monday in Hancock County Hospital at Greenfield.

Born at LaFollette, he had lived in the Indianapolis area 50 years. He was a bartender for the former Fendrick's Restaurant for 25 years and at Pete Steffey's Restaurant at Greenwood for five years. He was a member of Oaklandon Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge at Brazil. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Appelget Lawrence Mortuary.

Burial arrangements are pending. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys R. Strunk. Mrs.

Irene Mirabile Services for Mrs. Irene Cardillo Mirabile, 72, widow of Joe Mirabile, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel and at 11 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Mausoleum.

She died Sunday in Community Hospital. Born in Italy, Mrs. Mirabile lived here 26 years. She was a member of the Ladies Club at the church. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs.

Mary Cavallaro of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Vincent and Joseph Cardillo, both of Italy. Jewel J. Frank Services for Jewel J. (Judy) Frank, 85, 2211 East 52d Street, a retired mail carrier, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Frank, who died Sunday in a local nursing home, retired in 1953 after 40 years as a Postal Service mail carrier, the last 20 of which were on a downtown route. A member and Sunday school teacher at Broadway Baptist Church, he was a volunteer driver for Crossroads Rehabilitation Center until four years ago. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Catherine Frank.

Virgil L. Clarkson Virgil L. Clarkson, 76, 1530 Comer Avenue, a retired grocer, died Monday in a local nursing home. Born at Liberty, Mr. Clarkson lived here most of his life.

He operated Clarkson's Grocery, 843 Church Street, 15 years, retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of Builders on the Rock Church. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in G.H. Herrmann South East Street Funeral Home, with entombment in Washington Park East Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude L. Clarkson. Mrs. Victoria Murphy Services for Mrs.

Victoria Murphy, 77, widow of Ben Murphy, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday in Craig Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. She died Saturday in Wishard Memorial Hospital. Mrs.

Murphy, a retired domestic worker, was a native Louisville, and an Indianapolis resident 30 years. Surviving is her brother, Warren G. Carr of Indianapolis. Mrs. Lillian McCoy Services for Mrs.

Lillian McCoy, an Indianapolis resident five years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in KluteBeach-Henry Funeral Home at Richmond, with burial in Earlham Cemetery there. Mrs. McCoy, widow of Frank McCoy, died Sunday in a local nursing home. She was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.

A native of Jackson, and an Indianapolis resident most of her life, Mrs. Smith had been a hostess and waitress at the King Cole Restaurant, Ramada Inn Midtown and most recently at the Quality Inn North. She was a member of Brookside Primative Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Vickie L. Powell, Mrs. Mussetta M. Osborne and Mrs.

Wanda F. Bowling; and a stepson, Kirby J. Smith all of Indianapolis. Mrs. Pringle Services for Mrs.

Raymond (Joyce Irene 7 Tackett) Pringle, 44, 644 North Tacoma Avenue, will be held at 1 Wednesday in Grinsteiner Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Mrs. Pringle, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, died Sunday in Wishard Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Friendship Church. Survivors, besides her husband, include four daughters, Mrs.

Bernard Shaw, Mrs. David Adams, Mrs. Marvin Smithburger and Miss Tina Pringle; six sons, David, Raymond, John, James, Jeffery and Michael Pringle; a brother, Gerald Tackett; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert: Scheadel and 1 Mrs. Travis Carnelson, all of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Carl Wagner Mrs. Carl Q. (Mary Jane Norris) Wagner, 44, 1817 South Talbott Street, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, died Monday in her home. Services will be held at 10 a.m.

Thursday in Farley West Morris Street Chapel, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Survivors, besides her husband, include three daughters, Mrs. Carol Sue Beers of Franklin and the Misses Marsha K. and Jananne Wagner, both of Indianapolis; three sons, Raynos, James A. and Jerry Lee Wagner, all of Indianapolis; two stepdaughters, Mrs.

Joan Fredricks and Mrs. Helen Blanchard, both of Reading, and a stepson, Carl Q. Wagner Jr. of Honolulu, Hawaii. Harold R.

Reed Services for Harold R. Reed, 74, 1816 Vickie Drive, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Mr. Reed died Monday in his home.

A native of Metcalf, he lived here 50 years and was a retired paint salesman. He was employed 25 years at Indianapolis Paint and Color Company and 10 years at Glidden Paint Company before his retirement in 1966. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Merle Reed; a son, Harold Reed and two daughters, Mrs. Joy Heath and Mrs.

Jeanne Heath, all of Indianapolis. Mrs. Bertie Jackson Services for Mrs. Bertie Garrett Jackson, 72, formerly of 313 West 31st Street, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Zion Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery.

She died Saturday in a local nursing home. Born at Alexandria, she was an Indianapolis resident 31 years. She was the widow of Jonny Jackson and was a member of the church's Busy Bee Club. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bing of New York City, Mrs.

Goldie Holmes of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Georgia Austin of Alexandria, Va. Mrs. Lottie Kirsch Services for Mrs. Lottie Maxine Kirsch, 64, widow of Paul Kirsch, will be held: at 1 p.m.

Thursday in G.H. Herrmann 1 South East Street Funeral Home, with burial in New Crown Cemetery. She died Sunday in Wishard Memorial Hospital. A native of Wheeling, W.Va., she had lived in Indianapolis most of her life and was a waitress 25 years at and Tavern, retiring in 1974. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs.

Mary J. Barnett and Mrs. Peggy A. Foreman, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Georgia N.

Neal of Chicago, and a son, Hal G. Teaven of Lyndenville, N.Y. Mrs. Ed Russell Services for Mrs. Ed (Judy Mitchell) Russell, 33, 2486 Country Lane, will be held at 1 p.m.

Wednesday in the Konzelman Funeral Home at Oxford, with burial in Pine Village Cemetery. Mrs. Russell died Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a substitute teacher in Wayne Township Schools and formerly taught at Fowler and Oxford.

Survivors include her husband, three children, Bryon, Leana and Lisa Russell, all at home, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mitchell of Pine Village. Mrs. Alvin Neal Mrs.

Alvin (Edith Adams) Neal, 82, 1746 Thaddeus Street, a native of Davies County and an Indianapolis resident 50 years, died Monday in a local nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Jordan Funeral Home, with burial in Concordia Cemetery. Surviving, besides her husband, are six sons, Charles, Kenneth and Edgar Neal, all of Indianapolis, Ralph Neal of Inverness, Glenn Neal of Mooresville, and Foster Neal of McMinnville, Tenn. Mrs.

Nina Johnson Mrs. Nina L. Johnson, 69, 8447 Harrison Drive, Lawrence, widow of Clarence J. Johnson, died Monday at home. A lifelong resident of the Indianapolis area, Mrs.

Johnson was a bookkeeper five years for the Indianapolis Department of Transportation, retiring in 1975. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Appelget Lawrence Mortuary, burial Floral Park Surviving is her daughter, Mrs. Janet S. Norman of Lawrence.

Miss Joni Drummond Services Thursday Services for Miss Joni May Drummond, 18, Cicero, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, with burial in Washington Park North Cemetery. Her body was found Sunday night in a parked car near Zionsville in Boone County. Authorities, who found a note, have ruled her death a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She was a sales clerk at the Castleton K-Mart store.

Miss Drummond, a native of Tipton, was a member of the North United Methodist Church in Indianapolis and of Job's Daughters. Survivors include her father, David P. Drummond Sr. of Cicero; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy J.

Drummond of Spring Hill, two brothers, David (Trey) Drummond III of Cicero and Jon E. Drummond of Oldsmar, a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Linda Sue) Hudson of Oldsmar; and her grandmother, Mrs. David J. Drummond of Indianapolis.

Joseph E. Stembel Services for Joseph Earl Stembel, 47, R.R. 4, Box 256, Brownsburg, an electronics engineer, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Conkle Speedway Funeral Home. He died Saturday in West 10th Street Veterans Administration Hospital.

Mr. Stembel had been employed six years at Esterline Angus Division of Esterline Corporation, and previously had worked at the RCA Corporation electronics plant here. He also had helped his wife, Mrs. Harriett Hensely Stembel, operate the former Harriett's Hideaway bar and grill in Broad Ripple. A native of Kentland, he had lived at Brownsburg five years.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at DuQoin, and the Christian Church at Thorntown. He had served in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors, besides his wife, include an adopted daughter, Stefanie Pacheco, at home; a stepson, Dick Hensley of Indianapolis; his father, Howard Stembel of Thorntown; and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Haugee of San Diego, Calif. Mrs.

Clayton Burton Mrs. Clayton R. (Laura Burton, 64, 2729 South Lyons Street, died Monday in Methodist Hospital. She was a lifelong Indianapolis resident. Services will be held at 1 p.m.

Eva P. Sweatt, 64, 1301 West 34th Street, will be held at p.m. Thursday in Floral Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday in Grundy Memorial Chapel.

Born at Morgantown, Mrs. Sweatt lived here 49 years and was employed three years in the dietary department at Sunnyside Sanitarium, retiring in 1947. Survivors include five brothers, Arbrey, Delbert, Nathaniel, Harold and Charles E. Sweatt; and four sisters, Mrs. Datheana Porter, Mrs.

Roxie Carson, Mrs. Leona Wright and Mrs. Marie Williams, all of Indianapolis. Mrs. Himebrook Mrs.

Nettie Schad Himebrook, 90, of Greenwood, died Monday in St. Francis Hospital Center. Born at Greenville, she lived in the Indianapolis area most of her life. She was the widow of Carl Himebrook. Services will be held at 1 p.m.

Wednesday in G.H. Herrmann South East Street Funeral Home, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Johnson County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Dillahay of Greenwood and Mrs. Mary Lou Taylor of Cloverdale; and two sons, Carroll S.

Nusbaum of Hollywood, and Glen W. Nusbaum of Indianapolis. Mrs. Leota M. King Services for Mrs.

Leota M. King, 60, 320 North Linwood Avenue, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Poindexter Funeral Home at Washington, with burial in the Plainville (Ind.) Cemetery. She died Sunday in Community Hospital. A native of Burns City and an Indianapolis resident 28 years, Mrs.

King had been a cook 15 years at the former Zaph's Cafeteria and at Laugher's Cafeteria, retiring in 1970. Surviving are two sons, Robert L. (Cork) King of Indianapolis and Billy D. King of Alcoa, and two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Jean Little and Mrs.

Donna Still, both of Indianapolis. Jesse J. Lynem Services for Jesse J. Lynem, 83, 1228 West 32d Street, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Stuart Mortuary, with burial in New Crown Cemetery.

He died Sunday in a local nursing home. A native of Cynthiana, and an Indianapolis resident seven years, Mr. Lynem was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War I. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Rose Vertnar and Mrs.

Minnie Derrickson, both of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Claude Lynem of Lexington, and Joseph Lynem of Indianapolis. Oscar Kelley Services for Oscar Kelley, 76, 909 Fayette Street, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in King and King Funeral Home, with burial in New Crown Cemetery. He died Sunday at home. Mr.

Kelley, a native of Calhoun City, and an Indianapolis resident 30 years, was a member of Abyssinian Baptist Church.
