Wathen died in her home after a terday, long illness. Mrs. Wathen was active in community services and church work. She was a the Recording for directind at Louisville and a former member of the vestry W. 0.

McKeand, Longtime City Pharmacist, Dies Services for Wallace 0. McKeand, 78, 4871 Southeastern Avenue, longtime pharmacist and owner of Southside drug stores, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Stirling Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. McKeand, a native of Madison and an Indianapolis resident 65 years, died Friday while visiting, his daughter, Mrs. Raymond McSemek, at Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of St.

Bernadette church and the Indianapolis Association of Retail Pharmacists, an Army veteran of World War I and member of Southeastern American Legion Post 305. Surviving, besides his daughter, is his son, Jerry McKeand, Indianapolis drugstore owner. B. K. Vance B.

K. Vance, 66, 825 East Street, a maintenance employe of the Mahan Company died yesterday in Winona Memorial Hospital. A native of Franklin, he had been an Indianapolis resident 18 years. Earlier, he was employed in the maintenance department at the former Riverside Amusement Park 15 years. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and Odd Fellows lodges and the United Methodist Church, all in Kentucky.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Estel Vance; six daughters, Mrs. Patsy Calvert, Mrs. Lena Wilson, Mrs. Nadine King and Mrs.

Betty Roach, all of Indianapolis; Mrs. Joyce Sampson of Woodburn, Ky and Miss Linda Towe of Bowling Green, and three sons, Billy R. and Donald H. Vance, both of Franklin, and Jimmy W. Vance of Woodburn, Ky.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in G. H. Herrmann South East Street Funeral Home, with burial at Franklin, Ky. Harry Linder Services for Harry Lewis (Mutt) Wilson Linder, of St.

Paul's Episcopal Church at Jeffersonville. She also was the Indiana fund raiser for funds sought for the completion of the National Episcopal Cathedral at Washington, D.C. Mrs. Wathen was graduated magna cum laude from Sweet Briar College in Virginia and did graduate work in history at Indiana University while her husband was in law school there. Services will be held at a.m.

Monday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Friends may call at the family residence on Utica Pike after 3 p.m. today. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Richard Wathen of Stockholm, Sweden, and John B.

Wathen of South Boston (Washington County), and 'a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Sheehan Jr. of Portland, Me. L. E.

Hickle Dies; Was Method Analyst Services for Leonard E. Hickle, 57, 2025 North Euclid Avenue, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel and at 11 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will a be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Hickle, a method analyst at Western Electric Company the last 28 years, died Friday, in Community Hospital. He was a member of the church and its Men's Club and sang in the church choir. Mr. Hinkle was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Council, Knights of Columbus, and its choir and a member of the Western Electric Pioneers' Club.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosemary Hickle, and two sons, Paul (Skip) Hickle and Dennis Hickle, both of Indianapolis. Homer P. Ray Homer P. Ray, 63, a retired carpenter, died yesterday in his home at 25 East Roberts Road.

He was a native of Marshall, N. and had lived in Indianapolis 35 years. He was employed at Ellis Construction Company 25 years before retiring in 1967. Mr. Ray was a member of Ben Davis Christian Church.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Farley West Morris Street Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella Ray; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Williams of Indianapolis and Mrs.

Linda Towns of Mooresville, and two sons, Raymond Washington of Fowler and 01- len C. Ray of Indianapolis. Services for Lewis (Mutt) Wilson, 56, 2501 Mars Hill Street, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Farley West Morris Street Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson died Friday in his home. He was a native of Lafayette, and lived in Indianapolis 50 years. He was employed by Clairmont Transfer Company 12 years before retiring in 1974. Survivors include his widow, Mrs.

Doris G. Wilson. Carl E. Flick Carl E. Flick, 75, 620 North LaSalle Street, a retired employe of the parts department at the former Jones and Maley Automobile Agency, died yesterday in Community Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Services will be held at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday in the Grinsteiner Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in the church.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Corinne Flick. Mrs.

Goldie Roetter Graveside services for Mrs. Goldie E. Roetter, 88, Houlka, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs.

Roetter, a former Indianapolis, resident, died Friday at Houlka. She was born in Indianapolis and had worked at Eli Lilly Co. 17 years before retiring in 1947. She moved to Houlka in 1955. A daughter, Miss Barbara Roetter of Houlka, survives.

Mrs. Delaney Noblesville, In d. Mrs. Mayme Bell DeVaney, 85, Noblesville, a cook at Beanie's Cafeteria for 25 years and widow of Sam DeVaney, died yesterday in the Tipton County Hospital at Tipton. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

Tuesday in the Evans, Godby Trout Funeral Home. Burial will be A Arcadia Cemetery. Harold Imler Dies; Retired Railroader Services for Harold R. Imler, 75, 1032 Charleston West Drive, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery.

A native of Whitestown and an Indianapolis resident 70 years, he died Friday at home. Mr. Imler retired in 1964 as foreman of the air brake department at the Beech Grove shops of the Penn Central Railroad after 47 years' service with the Penn Central and the former New York Central System. He was a member of East 10th Street United Methodist Church and a past president of the church's Everson Class, and a member of Indianapolis Masonic Lodge 669, Scottish 'Rite and Penn Central Supervisors' Club. Survivors include his widow, Mrs.

Mary M. Imler, and sister, Mrs. Lola Joyce of Indianapolis. Mrs. Geckler, Widow Of Judge, Succumbs Services for Mrs.

Nell D. Geckfer, 91, 3419 North Pennsylvania Street, a former agent for the Board of State Charities, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs.

Geckler, widow of John Geckler, a former Juvenile Court judge, died Friday in a local nursing home. Mrs. Geckler was a former member of Sutherland Avenue Presbyterian Church. Murray L. Gott Services for Murray L.

Gott, 73, 202 North Eighth Avenue, Beech Grove, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Little and Sons Beech Grove Funeral Home. Burial will be in 1 Pleasant View Cemetery in Jamestown. Mr. Gott died Friday in St.

Francis Hospital. He was a native of Mellott and lived in Indianapolis 10 years. He was a maintenance employe at the Holiday Inn at Crawfordsville for: six years, retiring about 18 months ago. He had been a machinist for Penn Central Railroad 10 years. Mr.

Gott was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Elsie Gott, two daughters, Mrs. Howard OwJamestown, and Mrs. Ronald Dixon of Lebanon; stepdaughter, Mrs.

Ruth Lahr of Indianapolis, and three sons, Lee M. Gott of Lebanon, Harold W. Gott of Indianapolis and Edward E. Gott of Advance. Joseph Washington Joseph D.

Washington, 59, a driver for Jay's Taxi Company, died yesterday in his home, 1212 West 20th Street. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he had been employed with the company two years and also worked at Thompson Associates Inc. Mr. Washington served in Okinawa while with the United States Army in World War II. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

Monday in Boatright Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ernestine Washington; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Holman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Opal Hood and Mrs.

Norma Jean Partee, both of Indianapolis, and a son, Charles D. Washington of Chicago, Ill. Clifford Baits Atlanta, Ind. -Clifford Baitz, 81, R. R.

2, Atlanta, a Hamilton County farmer, died yesterday in the Tipton County Hospital at Tipton. He was a veteran of World War I. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hartley Funeral Home at Arcadia. Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Parr Baitz, and a son, Robert H. Baitz, R. R. 2, Atlanta.

Rockville--Miss Mary Elizabeth Britton, 91. Dr. Almon J. Coble, Noted Methodist, Dies The Rev. Dr.

Almon Jacob Coble, 67, Kokomo, superintendent of the Kokomo District of the United Methodist Church and former pastor of Indianapolis Methodist churches, died yesterday at his home. Dr. Coble had been a trustee of DePauw University, the Indiana Methodist Children's Home at Lebanon, Methodist Hospital at Gary and Wesley Manor at Frankfort. HE WAS A delegate to the Methodist World Conference at London in 1966. In Indianapolis, Dr.

had been pastor of the Washington Street and Brightwood Meth- Jeffrey Strickland Services Tuesday Services for Jeffrey Strickland, 16, of Cincinnati, Ohio, a former resident of Carmel, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Washington Presbyterian Church at Cincinnati, followed by burial in Spring Grove Cemetery there. He died Friday in an automoblie accident near Carmel. A native of Chicago, and a resident of Carmel 12 years, Mr. Strickland moved to Cincinnati in June with his family.

He was a member of the Chess Club at Carmel High School, the Youth Group of North United Methodist Church of Carmel, the Mount Washington Presbyterian Church and Explorer Scouts at Cincinnati. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Strickland and two brothers, Kenneth and James L.

Strickland all of Cincinnati. Isiah J. Day Services for Isiah Junior Day, 39, 2354 South Riley Avenue, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Greater Elim Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery.

Mr. Day's death Thursday of carbon monoxide poisoning in a car parked in a garage is believed accidental, the Marion County coroner's office reported. A native of Elkton, he had been a resident of Indianapolis 33 years and was a bus driver for Clearstream Gardens Apartments. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Survivors include his three sons, Barry Alonzo, Stephen and Brian Day; two daughters, Miss Gina Day and Miss LeDreana Day, and his mother, Mrs.

Katherine Moorman, all of Indianapolis. Friends may call at King and King Funeral Home Monday. Mrs. Alexander Mrs. Louise G.

Alexander, 88, 8809 Madison Avenue, died yesterday in Community Hospital. A native of Germany, she came to the United States in 1893 and had been a resident of Indianapolis most of her life. She was a matron at the Illinois Building 25 years and retired in 1964. Mrs. Alexander, widow of Harold Alexander, was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in G. H. Herrmann South East Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Jean E. Helm of Indianapolis, and son, Robert Alexander of Indianapolis. Mrs. Ruby F.

Kerr Services for Mrs. Ruby F. Kerr, 79, 4301 East 11th Street, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel and at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Kerr, widow of William B. Kerr, died Friday in a local nursing home. She was a buyer for Crawley-Milner Department Store at Cincinnati, Ohio, 15 years and retired in 1959.

There are no immediate survivors. Mrs. Sylvia Durbin Sheridan, Ind. Mrs. Sylvia M.

Durbin, 83, Sheridan, died yesterday in a Sheridan nursing home. She was the widow of Arthur Durbin. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Kercheval Funeral Home. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery.

Goodwill Sets Antique Sale Goodwill Industries will hold its annual antique sale at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the cafeteria in central headquarters, 1635 West Michigan Street. Antiques, collectibles, clothing, linens and furniture will be among the items sold. All proceeds will go to the Goodwill to help the handicapped. Food services will be available.

Walter E. Hertz Rites Tuesday Services for Walter E. Hertz, 71, 322 Main 1 Street, Beech Grove, retired pharmacist, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Little and Sons Beech Grove Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name Catholic Church.

Emtombment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Hertz died Friday in St. Francis Hospital. He retired in 1969 after being employed as a pharmacist by the Hook Drug.

Company 33 years. Earlier, he had been a pharmacist for the Riesbeck and Wade Pharmacy 15 years, Mr. Hertz was a member of the Holy Name church and its Men's Club and Msgr. Downey Council, Knights of Columbus, and was active in the Indianapolis Humane Society. His widow, Mrs.

Olive Hertz, survives. David Ivey Jr. of Upper Marlboro, Md. George C. Kolb Dies; Funeral Monday Services for George Chamberlain Kolb, 88, retired director of research for Stokely-Van Camp will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, followed by cremation.

He died Friday in Winona Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kolb, a native of Brazil, South America where his parents were missionaries, was chief chemist at StokelyVan Camp 32 years and was director of research six years before retiring in 1956. He was a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, the American Chemical Society and the Institute of Food Technologists. Mr.

Kolb graduated from Lafayette University at Easton, and did graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. Surviving sons, Gaston and "George C. Kolb both of Indianapolis, and Paul Kolb of Orlando, Fla. Wilbert H. Schuck Services for Wilbert H.

Schuck, 59, 225 North 16th Avenue, Beech Grove, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday i in the Little and Sons Funeral Home and at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr.

Schuck died Thursday in a Cleveland, Ohio, clinic where he was to undergo open-heart surgery. He had been employed 30 years in the tool and die division of the Naval Avionics Facility. He was a member of Msgr. Downey Council, Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his son, Lawrence Schuck of Indianapolis, and daughter, Mrs.

Joseph Feeny of Jackson, N.C. Oakey H. Nowlin Services for Oakey H. Nowlin, 80, 6461 Kentucky Avenue, a retired Kenney Machinery Corporation salesman, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Carlisle Son Funeral Home at Mooresville.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. He died Friday in the Morgan County Hospital at Martinsville. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Mooresville. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Geneva Nowlin, and a son, Oakey R.

Nowlin of Mooresville. Floyd H. Stout Floyd Harlan Stout, 89, 1815 East Stop 10 Road, a retired self-employed produce grower, died yesterday in his home. A native of Monrovia, he was a resident of Indianapolis about 56 years. He was a member of Fairfield Friends Church.

He was a member of B'Nai Torah Congregation. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Linder, and two sons, Ben and Lester Linder both of Indianapolis. Mrs. Alma Tinley Services for Mrs.

Alma M. Tinley, 91, 1124 North Street, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Little and Sons Beech Grove Funeral Home. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Mrs.

Tinley died Thursday in her home. She was the widow of Watson Tinley. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Ben Tinnell of Covington, and two sons, Clyde Tinley of Los Angeles, and Hobart G. Tinley of Beech Grove.

Michael Todd Park Services for Michael Todd Park, 4 months old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Park, 2425 Lilac Drive, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Conkle Lyndhurst Funeral Home, with ourial in Brownsburg (Ind.) Cemetery. He died Friday in the Arcadia (Ind.) Childrens Home.
