Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Flanner Buchanan Shadeland Mortuary, with calling from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Mrs.

Crose had been an Indianapolis Public Schools third grade teacher more than 20 years at School 38, retiring in 1961. She was a 50-year member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Butler University. She was the widow of John O. Crose.

Survivors: son, Robert G. two grandchildren. Crose; HERSCHELL SPENCER "SPENCE" HINKLEY, 74. Indianapolis, died Monday. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Friday in Leppert Hurt Mortuary, with calling from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. He had worked 17 years for the Indianapolis Department of Transportation, retiring In 1989 as chief of citizen relations. Previously, he was In the motor freight business.

Mr. Hinkley was a member of Crestvlew Christian Church. He was a life member of the Manual High School Lettermans Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Mr. Hurst was past president of the National Association of Postal Supervisors, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the Shrine Railroad Club. He also had been treasurer of the Beech Grove Historical Society. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice Center.
