Page' 3 THE ANSIi STaV sWayMay 1983 Close honors at Wellborn High L' 1 A few yean ago, an advertisement talked about "silly millimeters." That's about all that separates the valedictorian and salutatorian at Walter Wellborn High School. Valedictorian Angela Ola Brown finished on top with a 97.15 academic average, but salutatorian Felecia Brickhouse was about as close to number one as one can get at 97.1395. In other words, just about one one-hundredth of a percentage point separates the two top academic finishers. Finishing third as class historian was Teresa Taylor, with an academic average of 96.39. Wellborn's class of 1983 also boasts of two students who are graduating with perfect-attendance marks for 12 years.

Scott Presson and Tracy Smith have those endurance records, with Scott following the footsteps of his older sister, Terri, who also graduated with a perfect mark. Graduation exercises will Thursday adt 7 p.m. in the school stadium. Baccalaureate will be today at 8 a.m. in the school gymnasium.
