Quite frequently it wai not able to make the return trip the lame day. Arthur J. Gallagher who was formerly prominent In Deeatur politic! and wai a representative In the 1 legislature was one of the early automobile owners.

He told a story that was a classic of what happened to that car tn one trip to a farm near Deeatur to ihow a proipecttve real estate customer from a distance part of the county. So many thing! hap pened and the trip took long that customer never even looked at farm when he got there In his anxiety to get home.
