and Mrs. Curtis Kemp, was among Texas Tech students honored recently at an awards banquet held on campus. He received the agriculture engineering faculty award for outstanding service; also the academic award 'for highest grade in mechanized agriculture. Jlmmle Shahan. Sally Ann Holladay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Shahan of Lometa, received recognition for Scholarship. A 1971 graduate of Lometa High School, she Is a senior health and physical education major.

Paula Louise Wlttenburg, a senior speech major, received recognition for Leadership. She Is also a 1971 graduate of Lometa High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. G.

Wittenburg Jr. of Lometa. Alicia Ann Doggett, a junior drama major, received recognition for Scholarship. A 1972 graduate of Goldthwalte High School, she Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Voyd Lee Doggett of Goldthwalte. Recognition for Academic Excellence is awarded to Juniors seniors who have maintained a 3.75 or better grade point average throughout their university work and who have been nominated by the departments in which they are majoring. Recognition tor Scholarship Is given to Juniors and seniors who maintain at least a 3.25 grade point average; Achievement and Leadership awards go to those students who have made outstanding contributions to their departments and who have maintained a 2.50 or better grade point average. Mrs. Parlsher Is Improving. They took Earl Ray to Temple Friday for his last checkup on his eyes after surgery. Mr. and Mrs.

Alex Hardln of Llano visited Mr. and Mrs. Vann Maddox Thursday night and accompanied Mrs. Roddy Maddox and Mrs. Vann Maddox to Wallace Creek where they attended a baby shower honor- Ing Reagan Grimes.
