Mrs. Jordan was a Tuscaloosa native and a Cherokee County resident most of her life. She was treasurer and business partner with the Jordan Gas Co. in Centre and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Centre. She was a the daughter of the late Henry 'and Emma Chislom Savage.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Cherokee County Rescue Squad.
