He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Democrative Executive Commitee of Cherokee County. He was the son of the late Jesse and Claudia Adams Smith. Smith COLLINSVILLE Services for Jesse Sheppard Smith 56, of Collinsville, Rt. 2, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.

Stuart Burial will be in Black Creek Ceme Mrs. Stuart died today at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Alex Nelson Stuart of Piedmont; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Bragg and Mrs. Sylvia McDaniel, both of Piedmont; three grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Dempsey, Randy Morgan, Gary Wolfe, Frank Woffard, Haynes Morgan and Doc Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers will be the men's Bible class of Piedmont First United Methodist Church. Merritt AUGUSTA, Ga. Services for Mrs. Willie Plummer Merritt, 75, of Augusta, formerly of Talladega, were today at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Simpson officiating.

Burial was in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Merritt died Wednesday at Georgia Medical College in Augusta. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ann Roberson of Augusta; a son.

William Merritt Talladega; three sisters, Mrs. Helon Williams of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Lula Williams and Mrs. Dovie Mitchell, both of Marion; a brother, Leo Plummer of Marion, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Chris Roberson, Scott Roberson.

Tommy Merritt, Jeff Moses. Bill Hayden and Eddie Boger. Mrs. Merritt was a Perry County native and a former Talladega resident. She "was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church.

Miller Services for Darwin Cranston Miller. 58, of 3907 Stratford Road, Anniston. will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Larry Wimberly and the Rev.

Mr. Miller was a Georgia native, a World War II and Korean War veteran and former chemist and teacher.

He was a Mason and a member of the National Education Association and the Alabama Education Association. Otwell RANBURNE Services for Mrs. Winnie Mae Otwell, 84, of Ranburne, Rt. 1, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev.

G.K. Abner and the Rev. Monroe Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home of Heflin in charge. The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home in Ranburne where the body will be until an hour before services.

Mrs. Otwell died Thursday at Cleburne County Nursing Home. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Louise Bartlett of Ranburne and Mrs. Odesser Whisenhunt of Carrollton, Ga.
