SATURDAY, JANUARY 29, 1983- TV Scene THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR- PAGE 23 by JuUa Inn.an rpy SATURDAY Alt Prrram rf4 mi mlrrm imnttmrti mr (B) lirnnlr rWu in Hlmrk and lAilr it Itrntit MptutnrH rtot ABC adds midseason shows 6 8 131 4 I-20T40 In case that sounds a bit limp to you, the show will only be around for eight episodes. ABC TV which has been nipping at the heels of CBS TV this season and only passed that network twice in the ratings, has done some fine tuning to its schedule for March. According to a network spokes man at New York Friday, the network will move the foundering "Tales of the Gold Monkey" to Friday nights at 10 p.m. starting March 4. Replacing it on Wednesdays will be a new dramaadventure series, "High Performance" which will star Mitchell Ryan as an instructor in a high risk security school and Lisa Hartman as his karate-expert daughter.

IF YOU have a long memory you may recall that Ryan starred in a one-season police drama, titled "Chase" during the 1973-74 season. Filling out the first hours of the network's Friday movie, which will TV Radio be axed, will be "The Renegades," about a team of six young men and a young woman who formerly were big city gang leaders and have gone straight as a police undercover team. Preceding the two new Friday shows at 8:30 p.m. will be a half hour comedy, a rare departure for producer Aaron Spelling. The show will be "At Ease," a Sgt.

Bilko type comedy about a group of young enlistees at an Army computer base who buck their "by the book" sergeant. Meanwhile over at CBS, "Bring 'Em Back Alive has bitten the dust and will be replaced by "Wizards and Warriors," Feb. 26. The show which doesn't sound too promising, will be about a dashing young prince who battles the forces of black magic in the legendary kingdom of Camarand. SOME ACTION surfaced this week on the WIFE FM case which has been lost in the limbo of the Federal Communications Commission for years.

The FCC published a decision of its legal review board upholding the decision of the administrative law judges to approve the application of Peoples Broadcasting Corporation for the station license. Peoples was selected over four other companies competing for the frequency used previously by WIFE-FM which went off the air in 1975. The judges evidently felt that Peoples was preferred because more of its owners had pledged to involve themselves in the day-to day operation of the new station.
