Froebel of Gary yesterday succeeded the Hammond Wildcats as team champions in the 37th annual state high school track and field meet, Coach Hugh Bergstrom's finely-balanced organization amassing a total of 47 points to capture the title at Tech field. The title-defending Wildcats finished in second place with 31 points while North Side of Fort Wayne tallied 26 for the show spot.

Others of the 96 schools who had contenders in the meet tallied as chanic, Cotton Henning. Wilbur's speedster is the same in which won first, honors last year an Italian Maseratl.
