Montgomery, who had lived in Indianapolis for almost 35 years, died Wednesday in his home at Louisville. He was born at Louisville. He was a member of the International Typographical Union, and the Old Time Printers' Association. He served in the National Guard before World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs.

Ruth Hart man and Mrs. Anna May Shaw, both of New Whiteland; two sons, David E. Montgomery of Chicago, and C. 0. Montgomery of Indianapolis, and 11 grandchildren.

Youths Stoning Motion Freight Train Sought Monon Railroad officials reported yesterday that they are seeking Broad Ripple area youths who have been stoning an afternoon freight train during the last week.

The youths broke windows in the diesel engine cab and the caboose, according to Ralph H. Kanter, a Monon trainmaster here. Each day at 3 p.m. as the southbound train passes 63rd Street and College Avenue, the conductor shouts over the train radio for the crew to "duck," Kanter said. A railroad detective jumped off the train Wednesday and caught an elementary school pupil who was seen throwing stones.

The detective held a conference yesterday with the boy's parents and school principal. Youths who are caught stoning the train in the future will be prosecuted, he added. Indianapolis Deputy Police Chief Raymond J. said policemen are on the lookout for the vouths. Safe Burglars Damagr Church Burglars struck the South-port United Methodist Church between 10 p.m.

Thursday and 8:15 a.m. yesterday, leaving a path of broken doors and win-dow's, rifled file cabinets and a smashed wall safe. It appeared that the only property stolen from the church at 47 Union Slreet. Southport, was $50 in cash from the safe, according to the Rev. Gene P.

Mr. McVey, who retired two years ago, died Wednesday night in his home, 144 West 49th Street. Born at St. Louis, he lived in Indianapolis most of his life. For 35 years, he was associated with the Kincan Division of Hygrade Meat Corporation.

He was named executive director of the Health and Hospital Corporation shortly after it was formed in 1954. Mr. McVey was a member of a i i Presbyterian Church, the Junto Club, Downtown Kiwanis Club and the Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge. Prisoner Rights Under Scrutiny Indiana correctional system officials will be asked what they are doing to safeguard prisoner civil rights at a hearing at 10 a.m. today in the Federal Building. The Indiana Advisory Council to the United States Civil Rights Commission, which called the hearing, has invited testimony from state officials and representatives of private organizations concerned with the corrections system.

The hearing will probe conditions at the Indiana State Reformatory at Pendleton and the Indiana State Prison at Michigan City. Other correctional facilities may also be discussed. The results of the hearing will be sent to the national Civil Rights Commission, headed by the Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, University of Notre Dame president. Services for Mrs.
