Stockebrand, Garnett. The Rev. W. Stanton, of White City, formerly of Hartford, read the double ring service at the Hartford Methodist church Sunday afternoon. Mrs.

Eldon C. Beemer played a prelude organ music and the traditional wedding marches. Mrs. Harry LaCerte, of Emporia, was the soloist. J.

C. McKlnney gave his daughter In marriage. The bride wore a gown of 'imported lace and satin fashioned with a lace bodice and a yoke of The bouffant satin skirt was made with a chapel train and a front tunic of lace which tapered to points at the sides. Her Juliet cap held the fingertip length veil of French illusion and she carried a bouquet of lilies and stephariotis. Miss Kathleen McKlnney, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, arid Miss Anne Hunter, of Harper, and Miss Barbara Glover, of Caldwell, were' bridesmaids.

Their dresses were of blue, green, and pink organdy over, taffeta and made with wide bertha collars. They wore Juliet caps and matching mitts and carried bouquets of daisies. Wayne Stockebrand, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and ushers were James T. McKinney, Livermore, brother of the bride; Theodore Bernard, Kansas City, Warren Shaw and J. W.

Keil, of Lawrence. Assisting at the reception In the parsonage after the ceremony were Mrs. Theodore Bernard, Kansas City, Miss JoAnne Elder, Lawrence; and Miss Yvonne Settle. Kansas City. Miss Kay Smith, of Yates Center, was in charge of the guest book.

Mr. and Mrs. Stockebrand sre both graduates of the University of Kansas. The couple is on a wedding trip to Estes Park, Colo. After July 15 they will live at Garnett where Mr.

Stockebrand Is associated with his father in the operation of the StocVebrand Motor company. MRS. WALTER RALPH STOCKEBRAND, the former Miss Esther Alice daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.

Approximately 50 members and guests attended the second summer bridge-luncheon Tuesday at the Emporia Country club. Guest prizes were received by Mrs. G. A. Alexander, Mrs.

R. G. Watkins and Mrs. Marjorie Kempker. Member prizes went to Carl Alexander, Mrs.

B. B. Stanley and Mrs. James Garter. Members of the committee in charge of arrangements were Mrs.

Davies, of Wales, England, to Dr. Moyer of Salt Lake City, Utah, took place Sunday afternoon at the Second Presbyterian church. The Rev. Paul L. Carpenter read the service.

As the guests assembled, Mrs. Charles C. Underwood played the wedding music and accompanied the soloist, Trevor Lewis. Given in marriage by her cousin, Lewis J. Lewis, the bride wore a ballerina length gown of pink ice Chantilly lace.

Her hat was of lace and tulle and she wore a corsage of gardenias and sweetheart roses. Mrs. J. Manuel Hughes, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her gown was of chartreuse Chantilly lace fashioned like that of the bride and her corsage was of gardenias and stephanotis.

Miss Claire daughter of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. She chose a dress of pale orchid frosted organza and wore a corsage of gardenias. Libby Nell Hughes and Bronwen Lewis were flower girls and Kay Hughes and Ann Underwood lighted the tapers. J. Manuel Hughes was best man for Mr.

Thomas. Ushers were Dr. C. C. Underwood, Dr.

Price Kermit Oakes and Bob Hughes. The reception after the service, was held at the home of Mr. and Manuel Hughes. Mrs. Kermit Oakes was In charge the reception and friends of the bride assisted with the serving.

Mrs. Thomas has been a member of the music department faculty at Emporia State college. Dr. Thomas is a research chemist for the American Smelting and Refining company in Salt Lake City. The couple is on a wedding trip through the western states.
