Maremont, with more than $500 million in annual sales, manufactures replacement shock absorbers and shock systems for vehicles. In addition. Maremont's assets include a large warehouse in the Chicago area and the military hardware manufacturing firm of SACO Defense Systems Inc. Arvin makes automotive, heating, audio and electronic equipment.
