H. HERRMANN the Family Circus to look at and antics BY BILLY GRAHAM DEAR DR. GRAHAM: I'm in high school and am trying to deride what career I should choose. How do you suggest I go about making my choice? C.I. DEAR C.I.: The most important thing I can stress to you is that God has His perfect will for your life, and the most important thing you can do is seek it and find it.

This is true for every decision you face your marriage, your goals in life, etc. and not just your career. My prayer for you is that you won't choose a career, but will find God's choice for you. That's why you need to make this a matter of constant prayer, asking God to give you wisdom and guidance as you consider careers. How will He guide you? Usually.

God directs us in several ways in a decision of this nature. For example. God has given you certain abilities and interests, and He may want you to make use of some of these in your vocation. IN LIKE MANNER, there are certain things that you may not be able to do very well, and it's important to know that also. You probably already have some idea about what you can and cannot do well, but I also encourage you to seek the ad vice of others who know you well and have observed you in various situations Seek the advice also of people that you respect for their spiritual maturity.

Then I hope you will also seek God's will for your life as you read the Bible and let God's Word shape your life. Now. I know that no pas sage of the Bible is going to tell you directly whether you should be a lawyer or a draftsman or whatever. The Bible will help you set priori ties for your life priorities that are in line with God's will for you. Many young people, for example, choose their career solely on the basis of whether or not they can make lots of money.

In the Bible, you discover that this isn't what's important in life. The important thing is serving Christ and serving others. God may even want to use you in some type of ministry in your career. Seek His will, and He will show it to you. "In all your ways acknowledge Him.

and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3 6). Tribune Company Syndicate, Inc.
