Camby, IN 46113 'Brother Dave' comedian dies Myrtle Beach. C. (AP) South ern comedian Brother Dave Gardner collapsed while signing autographs on a movie set and died of a massive heart attack. He was 57. Gardner, who had a pacemaker, collapsed on the Studio City set Thursday, night and died two hours later at Grand Strand Hospital.

His wife, Judy was at the hospital when he died. The two were married in December. Brother Dave, a slim, cigarette-smoking regular of the Ed Sullivan Show, brought laughter to a growing number of cynics during the post Eisenhower days. His favorite targets were politicians and their friends, but he also found ways to rework everyday miseries into colorful, humorous anecdotes. Last month he completed filming "Brother Dave in Concert." a movie based on Gardner's life.

Joseph M. Trester Sr. Joseph Melvin Trester 62. Greenwood, a former Indianapolis resident and retired tool and die maker, died Friday in Community Hospital. He was employed at PT Components Inc.
