Ford Tax Appeal Refused by Court Washington, Jan. Ford attorneys challenged the levy orginally as discriminatory. After the tribunal upheld it, attorneys sought reconsideration, charging that the decision enunciated a "new principle of constitutional law at war with what has heretofore been considered well settled." As is customary in acting on titions for rehearings, the court today, merely did noting not on explain its list its of orders action, that the petition was "denied." The challenged tax is set by determining what proportion the firm's total receipts come from Texas and applying that proportion to the company's total capitalization.
