Bienz of Indianapolis will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at a dinner in the Hansel and Gretel Restaurant, given by their children. They were married April 7, 1923, in St Paul Lutheran Church at Preble. Mrs. Bienz is the former Edna Wehriing. Mr.

Bienz was employed at Real Silk Hosiery Mills and Grenada Industries Inc. for 45 years as superintendent retiring in 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Bienz lived at Grenada, for 32 years, returning to Indianapolis in 1974.

They are members of St Peter Lutheran Church. They have two living children, Richard and James Bienz; seven grandchildren and five great Rev. and Mrs. Castleman Franklin, Ind. Friends and relatives are invited to a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for the Rev.

and Mrs. Theron R. Castleman next Sunday, beginning with a vesper service at 4:30 p.m. in the Franklin United Methodist Home chapel. There will be a reception from 5 p.m.

to 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, 1070 W. Jefferson Franklin. Rev. Castleman and the former Adclla Buess were married April 5, 1933.

near Effingham, by the father of the bride, the Rev. Otto R. Buess. Rev. Castleman was pastor of churches in the United Methodist South Indiana Conference for 35 years during his active ministry.

Since retirement he has been part-time pastor for six years at Salem United Methodist Church, Hendricks County. He is in his seventh year of part-time pastoral service at Albright United Methodist Church, near Atlanta in Hamilton County. They have lived since his retirement at 203 E. Methodist Mr. and Mrs.

Wynalda Mr. and Mrs. Pete Wynalda of Indianapolis will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 10 in Grace Church, 2200 English Ave.

Mr. Wynalda and the former Theresa Nauta were married April 4, 1923, at Witmarsum, Holland. Both natives of Holland, Mr. Wynalda is from Arum, Friesland. and Mrs.

Wynalda from Schraard, Friesland. They emigrated to America on their wedding trip. Mr. Wynalda retired in 1961, after 38 years with the former Pennsyl-vana Railroad. The couple attends the New Testament Baptist Church, east of Brownsburg.

Their children are Mrs. Norman (Mae) Snodgrass, Mrs. Keith (Jennie) Waltz, Mrs. Jack (Thelma) Cooper, and Charles, Edward, Harold, Cecil and Pete Wynalda. They have 26 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Moore of Indianapolis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner given by their children Saturday in the Elks Country Club at Seymour. Mr. Moore and the former Hilda Brethauer were married April 8, 1933, at Seymour. Mr. Moore retired in 1974, after 48 years with Rough Notes Co.

Mrs. Moore retired in 1972, after 23 years of employment with Pictorial Publishers. Both are members of Emmaus Lutheran Church. They have two sons, Donn A. Moore of Milwaukee, and Richard Moore of Columbia, Md and six grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Abplanalp Osgood, Ind. Mr. and Mrs.

Harold Abplanalp. R.R. 3, Osgood, invite relatives and friends to a reception and buffet supper in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary from 4 m. to 7 p.m. next Sunday in the Bethany Room of St John Evangelical Lutheran Church at Na poleon.

They were married April 4, 1923, in the old St John Lutheran Church at Napoleon by the late Rev. Otto C. Meyer. Mrs. Abplanalp is the former Marguerite Bodenberg.

Mr. and Mrs. Abplanalp have a daughter, Mrs. Guy Large of Orlando, Fla a granddaughter and a great-grandson. They have spent their lives farming in the Napoleon community of Ripley County.

Brocker of Indianapolis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with members of their family. They were married April 1, 1933. Mrs. Brocker is the former Helen Swaim. Mr.

Brocker was formerly president and owner of the Circle Engraving Co. and is a past master of the Irvington Masonic Lodge. Mrs. Brocker has been active in the Lion's Club, East 91st Street Christian Church's women organizations and the Beechwood Belles. Their children and their spouses are Mr.

and Mrs. Raymond T. Brocker of Indianapolis, the Rev. and Mrs. Vedder Jay Brocker of Michigan, and Roxanna and Charles P.

Morgan of Carmel. Mr. and Mrs. Brocker have nine grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Wilborne V. Garton of Bluffton are parents of the bridegroom. He is a graduate of Taylor University.

The newlyweds are teacher coaches at Southwest Allen County schools. They will live in Fort Wayne. Sara Ellen Gemmer was maid of honor, and Gayle Arnold of Dayton, Ohio, was best man. The bride is the daughter of Mrs.

F.G. Rankin and Ronald E. Shumaker. She is employed at T.J. Maxx and Bailey Insurance.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Halcomb of Mooresville. He is employed at Krogers. Amy Carroll was maid of honor, and Larry Barnes of Camby was best man.

The couple will live in Mooresville. Susan Corinne Parker and Donald Nathan Douglass of Indianapolis were married Saturday in First Baptist Church of Lizton, Ind. Parents of the bride are Mrs. Harry Newburg and Dr. Raymond Parker.

He was graduated from Rose Hulman Institute and is a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He is a civil engineer with Reid, Quebe, Allison, Wilcox and Associates. William N. Smith of Indianapolis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday at a dinner party in their honor, given by their sons in a local restaurant They were married April 1. 1933, in Chicago, III. Mr. Smith was a project engineer for Stewart Warner Corp.

Hull Holton, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Golden G. Hull of Holton celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday.

Mr. Hull married the former Vel-ma Opal Waters March 31, 1918, just before serving with the Army in World War I. After he returned, the couple moved to the farm in the Hopewell community near Holton where they still reside. Mr. Hull is a charter member of the American Legion post at Osgood and Mrs.

Hull is active in the Legion Auxiliary. Both were active in the Farm Bureau for many years. Mr. Hull was a charter member of the Ripley County Farm Bureau. He sold insurance for many years and managed a Farm Bureau hardware store at Osgood for 20 years.

They attend Hopewell Baptist Church. Their children are Keith and Wayne Hull and Mrs. Robert McNew, all of Holton, Mrs. John Kitley of Indianapolis, Mrs. Philip Shaw of Charlestown and Delmar Hull of North Vernon.

Mr. and Mrs. Hull have 23 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. camp will operate weekdays from June 6 to Aug. 11 A two-day training course will be provided.

Iowa (AP) A space exploration scientist here used his knowledge of the planet Mars to find out how to keep snow from drifting onto Iowa highways. Iowa State University Professor J.D. Iverson. an authority on snow, dust and sand movement on Mars, concluded that carefully arranged vegetation barriers would provide good snowdrift control at highway bridge overpasses. The Iowa transportation department funded Iverson's work on the basis of reports that surface conditions on Mars resemble.Iowa in winter.
