Chapman was an Army veteran of World War I. Mr. Chapman was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Prospect Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and the Veritas Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
