is listed for Horatio in Hamlet and Ford in The Merry Wives Rob inson has spent the last two seasons at the Enchanted Hills Playhouse. Syracuse. Ind. Eric Hisson will play Fenton in Merry Wives and Roscncrantz in Hamlet, Michael Blankenship. Nym Jn Merry Wives and a gravedigger in Hamlet both actors are from Ohio.

Hardin, a notable Lear at CTS. will be seen as Page in Merry Wives, Bob Blickenstaff as Justice Shallow, Andrew Barnes as Slender. Towne as Bardolph. Strode as Evans. Rick Gibbs as Simple.

Bechtel as Dr. Caius and Scott Enzweiler as the Host of the Garter. The latter nius. Towne is pursuing an MFA in acting at the University of Wiscon sin. Strode is professor of theater at Manchester College.

Ind. The Merry Wives will be repre senled by Ms. Ware as Mistress Ford, Glennyce Russcher (last sum mer's Lady Macbeth) as Mistress Quickly, and Gabrielle Vchar. a newcomer from Case Western Re serve University, Cleveland, as Mis tress Page. The season's Ann Page will be Karen Eterovich, a returnee from last year's company.

The fat role of Falstaff. the ever resourceful, roguish knight of the King Henry cycle, now the victim of the merry wives and their merry pranks, will be played by Rich Ko- menich. who appeared recently at the Phoenix in True West. He also will be the Ghost and the Player King in Hamlet. Festival, our increasingly profes sional rnsomblc of classical actors who perform at Garfield Park on July and August weekends, have completed casting for 1985.

The festival company will include 18 actors.

Saturday. June 15. in North United Methodist Church. 38th and Merid ian streets. Auditions are open to all adults, and high school students "of unusual proficiency" are invited to attend.

The volunteer orchestra rehearses from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays and plays a minimum of five subscription concerts. Septem bcr through May. Audition times can be arranged by calling personnel director Betsy Baltz at 255 -0104 or general manager Carl Henn at 283 5242.

CP. and the Buffalo Philharmonic in international competitions. The Philharmonic was invited to return to Caleb Mills Hall permanently after playing the final con cert of its 1984 85 subscription series there. The invitation was given by Shortridge principal Alfred Finncll and accepted for the Philharmonic by its president and principal, oboe. Lee Jones.

"We were impressed with the extensive renovations at Shortridge. and especially by the beauty of Caleb Mills Hall and its new acoustical properties," Jones said. Caleb Mills Hall also was the original home of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, which played its first concert there in 1930. The 40 year-old Philharmonic Or chestra has a new home and new music director. The highly regarded community symphonic ensemble, which has performed in recent years in the auditorium at Arsenal Technical High School, will become orchestra in residence at Shortridge High School's Caleb Mills Hall, which is where it started.

"It will begin the next season under the artistic leadership of. Or-cenith Smith, music director of the DePauw University Orchestra at Greencastle. Smith was chosen for the post by the Philharmonic's board after a season of guest con ductors. He conducted the orchestra's final subscription concert May 5. -v Smith also conducts the DePauw Chamber Symphony and the De Pauw OperaMusical Theater.

He's been music director of the Chicago Youth Symphony since 1981 and is principal guest conductor of the Terre Haute Symphony. He is con suiting editor of The Instrumental ist, a magazine published in Chica go Meanwhile, the Philharmonic still has a light classical "pops" concert to play at 4:45 p.m. Satur day, under guest conductor Edward Staubach, on Stage Two of the War Memorial Plaza, between the Obelisk and the Memorial. This program will be a feature of the White River Park Arts Festival. Smith is an honors graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
