Walter Speece Dies in South Pittston Native Was Associated With Standard Oil Company Walter Speece, former well known Pittston resident, died on Tuesday night V.at his home in Parkersburg, W. Pittston friends were surprised to learn of Mr.

Surviving are his widow, the forn mer Emma Archbald, and one daughter, Mary Emory Speece; two brothers, Samuel, Pittston, John, West Pittston; one 'sister, Mrs. James A. Lewis, Watsontown, Pa.

BURTIN TICKNER BURTIN TICKNER 18 Burtin Tickner, 67, died October at his home on Maple Avenue, Tunkhannock, following a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife and several cousins. The funeral was held from the home on Sunday with burial in Vaughn Cemetery, Isaac Williams Is Found Dead in Bed Isaac G. William, 77, who resided in one of the "twin houses" on Plymouth Mountain, was found dead in his bed yesterday morning at 10 by one of his daughters, who went to his room to awaken him. Death was due to a heart attack.

Mr. Williams retired Tuesday night in apparent good health. His wife, Susan, has been 111 for the last four months and due to her serious condition has not been told of her husband's death. Deceased was born in Wales and resided in Plymouth over 50 years. He was employed as a watchman at Gaylord Colliery before that operation closed.

He was a member of English Baptist Church. In addition to his widow, he leaves 8 son, Edward Williams, Buffalo, and these daughters: Mrs. Bessie Hartzell, Plymouth; Mrs. Howard Ross, Shickshinny; Mrs. Winfield Morgan, Plymouth; Mrs.

P. C. High, Washington; Mrs. Warren Blosser, Virginia; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, The body was removed to 114 West Main Street, Plymouth, from where the funeral will be held. OBITUARY MARY PAPCIAK Mrs.

Mary Papciak, Newport 'Township resident, died Tuesday' night at her home, Coal Street, Glen Lyon, following a two weeks' illness. She was a member of St. Michael's Church. These children survive: Stanley Okonieski, Pond Hill; Mrs. Anna Shedlecki, Brooklyn; Mrs.

Victoria Nancol, Glen Lyon. MRS. HELEN SUTTON Mrs. Helen Sutton, 28, wife of Bryce Sutton, died on Tuesday at her home, 580 Shawnee Street, Breslau, after lingering illness. She was a member of SS.

Peter and Paul's Church, Plymouth. Besides her husband she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Adam Kaminski of Breslau. The funeral will be held from the home on Saturday morning. MRS.

Hess, 94, well known Columbia County resident, late Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edith A. Getz, 317 Light Street Road, Bloomsburg. A native of Waller, Mrs. Hess was the former Priscilla Brink and lived all her life in Columbia County.

She was a member of Benton Methodist Church, Her husband died 14 years ago. Surviving are three sons, Dr. D. M. Hess, Washingtonville; Bartley Hess, Central City, and Dr.Harry L.

Hess, Long Beach, and two daughters Mrs. Edith Getz, Bloomsburg, and Mrs. S. J. Wylie, Bryn Mawr.

Fourteen grandchildren and. five great also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Getz on Saturday afternoon at 2 with burial in Benton Cemetery, FUNERALS JOHN WESLEY SMITH Smith, formerly of Swoyerville, was buried yesterday afternoon in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick.
