Four persons were presented honorary alumni awards yesterday by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. They are Harold A. York of Indianapolis, Albert W. Lotze Jr. of San Francisco, Fred W.

Goetsch Jr. of Indianapolis and the late Sterling H. Pittmann of Terre Haute. Goetsch is district engineering manager-transmission facilities of Indiana Bell Telephone Company. York is a retired assistant vice-president of Indiana Bell.

He died at his home Friday from a self-inflicted bullet wound, the Marion County Coroner's report said. Buddenbaum was a 1969 graduate of Indiana University and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a Vietnam War veteran. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Ralph Buddenbaum, and three brothers, William, John and James, all of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Miss Marilou Buddenbaum of Muncie, and Lynn Ann Sikotis of Little Neck, Long Island, N. Y. ior live mmwest- mmm Robert Munday Services for Robert Munday, 67, 1121 North Beville Avenue, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday in Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemelery.

He died Friday in Community Hospital. Mr. Munday, a native of Salem and a resident here 36 years, had been a stonecutter at Bedford prior to being employed four years by Mershon Laboratories here, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Bedford. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.

Cleta Munday; a son, Robert E. Munday, and a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Ellen) Coffin, all of Indianapolis. Mrs. Thea Tucker Services for Mrs.

Thea M. Tucker, 78, 5819 North LaSalle Street, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary with entombment in Washington Park East Cemetery She died Friday in Winona Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tucker, a native of Russellville and a resident here 50 years, was a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, Merrill G. Tucker, and a daughter, Mrs. John P. Wooley, both of Indianapolis. Contributions may be made to the Little Red Door-Marion County Cancer Society.

Hilbert Rust, 74 3801 North Meridian Street, a retired insurance company executive, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital. Born at Holland, he lived here most of his life and was a 1926 graduate of Indiana University, where he was a member of Delta Tau Deita fraternity. In 1952, Mr. Rust became president of Research Review Service of America, the world's largest publisher of life and health insurance training courses. He later became chairman and chairman emeritus.

Mr. Rust was named a trustee of Franklin College in 1967 and again in 1574. He was a member of Pleasant View Lutheran Church, I.U. Club, Rotary Club and Meridian Hills Country Club. His business affiliations included the National Association of Life Underwri- Mrs.

Alta Nicholas Mrs. Alta A. Nicholas, 76, 280 North Elder Avenue, a retired telephone operator for the Indianapolis Police Department, died yesterday in a local nursing home. A native of Bedford and a resident here most of her life, Mrs. Nicholas was employed by the police department 17 years, retiring in 1971.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Surviving is a son, George W. Nicholas of Indianapolis. Mrs.

Schicarz Services for Mrs. Margaret E. Schwarz, 91, 1701 North Capitol Avenue, formerly a saleslady for L. S. Ayres and Company, will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Monday in Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Born at Farmland, the 85-year Indianapolis resident died Friday in a local nursing home. She was the widow of Christen Schwarz and was a member of Centennary Christian Church. Survivors include a son, George W.

Hudson, widow of Lawrence Hudson, was born at Daleville and lived here 30 years. She taught school 50 years, retiring in 1971. In Indianapolis, she taught in Schools 41, 14 and 58. She was a member of the National and Indiana Retired Teachers Associations and the Muncie Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two brothers, Victor Hayes of Parker and Dr.

T.R. Hayes of Muncie, and a sister, Miss Mary Hayes of Muncie. Clemens A. Warn Rites To Be Tuesday Services for Clemens A. Warn, 68, civic leader and retired business executive, will be held at 1 p.m.
