Goodman Dies; Physiologist Charles L. (Duke) Goodman, 66, 641 Eugene Street, physiologist for 31 years at Eli Lilly Co. before retiring in February, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital. Mr. Goodman was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and was graduated from Tennessee State University in 1940.

He also attended Butler University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Phi fraternity, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Citi- zens Forum Six Hundred Block Club and Phillips ple CME Church. Services will be held at 11 Mrs. Hauck Dies; Legion Aide's Wife Mrs. Meredith A.

Hauck, 51, wife of American Legion National Adjutant William F. urban Hospital, Washington, Hauck, died yesterday in D.C., after suffering a stroke. Mrs. Hauck, a former Indianapolis resident, moved from here to Washington in 1952 when her husband was named executive director of the Washington headquarters. She was active in Legion affairs and accompanied her husband to many parts of the world on Legion business.

She was a native of Garrett, Ind. Funeral services will be held in the Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home at Washington at 10:30 a.m. today. Burial services will be private. Survivors besides the husband, include a daughter, Mrs.

Cecelia Ann Detzel of Kensington, and her mother, Mrs. J.Q. Walter of Garrett. Meredith H. Groves Meredith H.

Groves, 82, 8 North Ewing Street, died yesterday in a local nursing home. He was born at Dayton, Ohio, and had lived in Indianapolis 33 years. Mr. Groves was a salesman with the former Indianapolis Rambler Company before retiring several years ago. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Friday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, with burial in Spring Grove Cemetery at Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Wilson Shopp Services for Mrs. Mildred L. Shopp, 58, 2847 Eugene Street, will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Friday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with entombment in Washington Park North Mausoleum. She died Tuesday in Methodist Hospital. A native of Edinburg, she had lived in Indianapolis 31 years. She was a member of North Park Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Phi Beta Phi sorority and Seventh Christian Church. Survivors include the husband, Wilson Shopp; two daughters, Mrs.

Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Owner and operator of Charles Anger Son Furriers, Mr. Anger died Tuesday in Winona Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Madison and resided in Indianapolis 40 years. He was a member of Downtown Optimist Club.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Marie Anger; two sons, C. Michael Anger of Sheridan and Timothy Anger of Indianapolis; and a daughter, Miss Marie Anger of Indianapolis. Mrs. Orin Marlett Dies; Rites Friday Mrs.

Mildred L. Marlett, 56, died yesterday in Community Hospital. She was born in Hamilton County and had lived in Indianapolis most of her life. Mrs. Marlett was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was a trustee of the church and a member of its Missionary Society. She was also a member of Top Notch Homemakers Club and White Cross Guild at Methodist Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, with entombment in Washington Park East Mausoleum. Survivors include the husband, Orin Marlett, and two sons, Donald and David Marlett, both of Indianapolis.

James G. Robinson Services for James G. Robinson, 72, a former Indianapolis resident who died Tuesday at Sebastopol, will be held there today. Burial will be at Santa Rosa, Calif. Mr.

Robinson was born at Petersburg, and had lived in Indianapolis 45 years before moving to California eight years ago. He was a maintenance supervisor with the formal Barbasol Company 20 years. Later he was a machinist with Jenn-Air Corporation 10 years before retiring in 1965. Mr. Robinson was an Army veteran of World War I.

Survivors include the widow Mrs. Carrie Robinson, and a son, Charles H. Robinson of Millbrae, Calif. Edgar P. Howell Services for Edgar P.

Howell, 70, R.R. 18, Indianapolis, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. He died Tuesday in Winona Memorial Hospital. A native of LaPorte, he was a retired clerk for the United States Postoffice, serving the last 10 years of his Sta-30-year career in the Speedway office.

He retired in 1965. He was a member of Unity School of Christianity. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mildred Howell, and a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Abels of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Anna Warner Services for Mrs. Anna M. Warner, 80, Westminster Village, Greenwood, who died Tuesday at home, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Spencer. Mrs. Warner taught school here and at Denver, several years. She was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Albert M.

B. Gould Services for Royal William Brokaw Gould, 69, Arlington, a former Indianapolis resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Gould died Monday in the Masonic Home at Arlington.

He was a pharmacist for Hooks Drug Stores for 21 years before retiring in 1969. Mr. Gould was born at Freeport, and lived in Indianapolis 21 years. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Judith Beall of Indianapolis.

Demaree; Hubert D. Hoover, 56, 710 Killian Drive, Beech Grove, died yesterday at his home. He was born at Hickman, and had lived in Indianapolis 30 years. Mr. Hoover was a production line worker with the Richardson Company the last 27 years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Little and Sons Beech Grove Funeral Home, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Versie L.

He was a truck driver with Commercial Motor Freight of Indiana, where he recently received a 25-year pin for perfect driving. A native of Indianapolis, he had been with the Perry fire department for 10 years and was chief inspector for fire prevention. He was a member of Southport Masonic Lodge, Sahara Grotto Greeters, Midwest Motorcycle Club, Southport United Methodist Church, and the Indiana Volunteer Firemen's Association. He was a special deputy for the Marion County Sheriff's Department and an Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include the widow, Mrs.

Burial will be Saturday in Forbis Cemetery at Oneida, Tenn. Mr. Reeder died Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital. He was born at Livingston, and had lived in Indianapolis 18 years.

He was a security guard with Pinkerton's Inc. four years and Chancellor Detective Agency Inc. one year before retiring in 1960. Mr. Reeder was a member of White Oak Baptist Church at Oakdale, Tenn.
