Helena. If you had visited Ascension Island 200 years ago, you would have failed to find any settlers. On the other hand you would have found several types of wildlife. At the time Napoleon was taken to St. Helena as a prisoner, the British decided to send soldiers to Ascension Island.

It was thought this would help guard against any effort of the French leader to escape.
