Hales, former Oaklandon physician, was recommitted to the Norman W. Beatty Hospital at WeHtville yesterday following his surrender to authorities at Central State Hospital here Monday. Hales, who escaped from the Westville institution last July, was arrested at Allentown, two weeks ago on a warrant charging him with escape from a mental institution. The passengers included five Americans and three West Germans.

Police Capt. Tulio Vidal Mar-tel at Pucallpa told UPI at Lima by telephone that he had dispached two five-man patrols to check out the peasant's story.
