Fatally injured on non-Indianaoplis tracks were George Amick and Marshall Teague, both at Daytona; Jimmy Reece at the Trenton (N.J.) Speedway and Art Bisch at the Atlanta (Ga.) 100-Mile Race. Amick, named rookie of the year after the 1958 Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, was killed April 4 at Daytona when his car became airborne and flipped over an estimated 10 times.

He was on the 40th lap of the 100-mile run which was won by Jim Rathmann at an average of 170.261 miles an hour a new world's record. Amick, 34 years old, lived at Rhinelander, Wis. THE SAME TRACK took the life of 37-year-old Marshall Teague. He was killed instantly Feb. 11 during a practice run on the new, high-banked, 2'2-mile course.

His car, too, became airborne and flipped several times. Teague was thrown from the cockpit. He died instantly. A former national stock car champion. Teague lived at Daytona.
