18 Juveniles Lose Licenses Licenses of 18 young persons were suspended in the July session of Juvenile Traffic Court with Judge John J. Boyle presiding. In five other cases where juveniles were charged with fail- in-e to have a license, licenses will be withheld the necessary number of days after application is made to the Motor Vehicle Department. No driving for 30 days was ordered in these cases after speeding charges were admitted: Terry Listol, 17, Rte. 3, Edgerton; Carmelo Tortorici, 17, 208 S.

No driving for six months after application to the MVD upon reaching age 16 was ordered in the case of David Simpson, 15, Rte. 3, Edgerton, in court on charges of no driver's license, excessive speed and failure to obey a traffic officer. A 60-day penalty was ordered in the case of Ernest Tracy, 15, Rte. 1, Whitewater, on charges of no license and failure to report an accident. Others on no license charges were Rodney Freeman, 15, 2129 Hubbard Robert Doerr, 16, 329 S.

Washington and Jeffrey Amundson, 16 101 St. Mary's Ave. Lakeland Hospital son was born in Lakeland Hospital to Mrs. Donald Wyand, Lake Geneva; and a daughter to Mrs. Francis Ranczyk, Lake Geneva.

Obituaries (More Obituaries on Page 2) Avalon Driver Hurt in Crash on Read Road Florence Tess, 50, Avalon, was taken to Mercy Hospital with forehead and right knee bruises and neck pain shortly after 9 a.m. today following a two-car accident. Her car, traveling north on Read Road, collided near the crest of a hill with one driven by Richard Kath, 62, 1245 Jerome Janesville, as he started a left turn. The accident occurred just south of E. Delavan Drive.

Unfamiliar with the new sports car he was trying out, Robert H. Gunderson, 55, Rte. 4, Beloit, stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brakes shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, he told deputies. His car shot off Valley Road north of Beloit and into the right side of a car being driven north on Highway 51 by Charles W.

Shockley, 42, Beloit. Gunderson was charged with failing to yield the right of way. A heifer owned by Jerome L. Weis, Rte. 5, Janesville, may have suffered a fractured leg at 4:20 a.m.

Tuesday when it was struck by a car. Ira S. Hiller 74, 1327 Ruger Janesville, told deputies he was headed east in heavy rain when he saw several cattle on the road and was unable to avoid striking one. The accident occurred on Hanover Road four miles west of Janesville. Fort Kiwanis Club Announces Plans for Horse Show FORT ATKINSON Horses, cowboys and Indians will be seen at Rock River Park, Aug.

1 and 2 at the annual Kiwanis Club parade and horse show. According to Hank Kosharek, chairman, there will be floats, covered wagons, mock gun battles and other "shades of the old West events" that are now in the early planning stages. Ribbons will be awiarded the parade's best group, best horse- drawn vehicle, best dressed western man and best dressed western woman, and the most comical entry. The Sunday, Aug. 2, horse show will include all the regular show classes.

Jack Larson, Fort Atkinson, will do the announcing with Orval Smith, Whitewater, judging each class. Ringmaster will be Art Gafke of Fort Atkinson. Ticket "entry blanks" for the "Name the Pony" contest will be available from Kiwanis members next wieek. The winner of the contest will be announced at the horse show. Kosharek also noted that Kiwanis members are hoping to have the famous "Abe Lincoln" horse as a parade feature.

Parade and show entry blanks may be obtained from Kiwanis president Warren Doty, 98 S. Main St. Mrs. Elizabeth Partlow LAKE Elizabeth Roberts Partlow, 75, 536 Sage life resident of Lake Geneva and area, died unexpectedly Sunday evening in Jamestown, Ohio, where she had been visiting. The former Elizabeth Roberts was born Jan.

15, 1889, in Linton, the daughter of John and Anna Edwards Roberts. She was married to Joseph Partlow at Woodstock, 111., in January 1925. He died in 1951. Mrs. Partlow was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake Geneva.

Surviving is one son, Ellis, of Lake Geneva. A brother and a sister predeceased her. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Derrick-Haase Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Andrews officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Peter Kauth LAKE services for Mrs.

Peter Kauth, 83, who died in Milwaukee while visiting a daughter, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Rev. Bernard Pickart officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lake Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Westin Funeral Home after noon Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. The former Mary Ann Tintel was born June 21,1881, in Waterford, the daughter of Charles and Frances Kleinvehn Tintel, and lived in Milwaukee after her marriage to Peter Kauth. They later farmed at Neillsville and moved to Lake Mills about 50 years ago. She was a member of St.

Francis Xavier Church and a charter member of its Ladies Guild. Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Max Kelch, Lake Mills, Mrs. David Bodine and Mrs. Mary Stocks, both of Milwaukee, Mrs.

Albert Peterson, Nebraska City, and Mrs. Clifford Mueller, Monroe, 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sister Mercedes, St. Francis Convent, Milwaukee. Two daughters died in infancy. lefferson Woman To Enter Register of Deeds Contest JEFFERSON-Responding to telegrams sent out by Gov.

John W. Reynolds this past weekend, Democratic party members met Monday evening at the Jefferson House to form a slate of candidates for county offices. In his telegram to Mrs. Rosalie Betzold, 135 N. Dewey Jefferson, Gov.

Reynolds said, "Urge you to run for office for register of deeds in Jefferson County. Progressive government needs people of your proven ability and Democratic ticket needs your voter appeal. Appreciate favorable decision by noon, July 7th." Mrs. Betzold, 40, receptionist and switchboard operator at the county courthouse annex, announced today that she will file for nomination papers for the register of deeds office. Other candidates on the Democratic slate were to be confirmed today or Wednesday.

Three candidates are seeking assemblyman nomination. They are Harold Noble and Horace Buri, both of Jefferson, and Douglas D. Culligan, Sullivan. Highway 1-90 Claim for Jury A dispute on for land taken during the tion of Interstate Highway 90 near Milton will be aired before Circuit Judge Arthur L. Luebke and a jury starling Tuesday afternoon.

The case is that of Archie Reid Mrs. Hattie Reid and Ronald E. Dorwin against the State Highway Commission. The jury was drawn during the morning, and then taken to view the propertjr before the begin ning of testimony as to valuations. The 240-acre farm is about three miles north of Janesville, in the southwest corner of Milton Township.

The case is one of two set for this week. Depending on whether the Reid case can be completed in time, trial is set for Friday in the case of state vs. Herbert C. Hahn, involving a charge of driving while intoxicated. The entire jury panel will report again Friday morning, and another jury session is on the calendar for next Tuesday.

Tentatively set for Tuesday are the accident injury cases of Charles and Barbara Krueger vs. Verlyn Sagmoen. to be followed in order by the accident case of Mary Zweifel vs. Milwaukee Auto Mutual Insurance contract case of Vladimir Lutovsky vs. John Hartmann and Black Acres farm, and contract case of George Selvog vs.

Lyle E. Stafford and General Accident, Fire and Life Insurance Co. On the jury for the Reid vs. Slate Highway Commission case are Ruth Thompson, Rte. 1, Orfordville; Edward Pantell, Rte.

He was born March 21, 1877, in Utica. He married Clara Hermanson, Sept. 4, 1907, in Stough- lon. She died in 1909. Surviving is a sister, Mrs.

Alvin Olson, Brooklyn. Servfces will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brooklyn Lutheran Church, the Rev. Viggo Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the B. L. Booth Funeral Home, Oregon, after 7 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday until the funeral hour.

Three Incumbents Alone in Delavan School Board Race DELAVAN-Monday was the deadline for candidates to file for election for Joint School District No. 1, and only the three incumbents up for re-election filed. Dr. Harold Werbel, presi dent of the board, Robert Brooks, vice president, and Sam Berg are the only ones in the race. Superintendent of schools Richard Manske and his family moved Monday to their new home at 1107 Center St.

Mr. and Mrs, Manske have three sons, Mark, 14, Brian, 12, and Scott, 7. Manske assumed duties July 1 after being superintendent of schools at Oostburg since 1961. Buses will leave Deckert and Veterans Memorial parks at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday to take children participating in the morning recreation program to the Circus World Museum at Baraboo.

The group will return at about 6:30 p.m. Registration for the Milwaukee Braves-Philadelphia Phillies game in Milwaukee July 23 must be made by Friday at the Raft Concession Stand, Mill Pond Beach. Cost for both trips is 75 cents per person. Mail Damaged by Firecracker A number of letters were damaged in a post office pickup box at W. Racine and Lincoln street when a firecracker discharged inside it.

Post office officials reported the" incident to police Monday and said it occurred sometime during the weekend. Several letters were scorched and torn, necessitating the return of them to the senders, it was reported. Nine windows were broken in another vandalism case reported Monday. The windows were broken by BB's in houses under construction by A Homes at 1516 Manor Drive and 2008 Moreland Drive. Police also received a report Monday that $1 in stamps and 35 cents in change was taken from an office in Janesville Mills, 411 S.

1603 N. Washington St. Watertown Band To Play in Fort FORT ATKINSON The sec ond band concert of the summer season will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barrie Park. The ice cream social held in conjunction with the concert will be under the auspices of the Rainbow Girls.

The concert will be given by the Watertown Municipal Band. The Fort Atkinson Old-Timers Band will give a guest performance in Watertown on July 16. CAR LEAVES ROAD JEFFERSON Wayne Weckler, 23, Rte. 1, Fort Atkinson, escaped injury at 11:22 p.m. Monday when he fell asleep while driving south on Highway 89 and his car went off the road, The accident occurred about IVi ripping out 60-feet of fence and miles north of Lake Mills.

Install Godec as President of Rotary Club Rotarians witnessed the installation of a new president, Frank Godec, 1501 N. Harmony Drive, and heard an analysis of the revenue act of '64 at their luncheon meeting Monday. Gordon T. McKay of the Arthur Andersen and accounting firm, Milwaukee, was the speaker. Godec, district plant manager of the Wisconsin Telephone was installed by Robert Bethards, past district governor of Rotary.

A past president's pin was presented to the retiring president, Kenneth Decker. McKay's topic was "What You Must Do Now to Take Advantage of the Revenue Act of '64. He gave pointers on changes in the act which can affect individuals and corporations. Dr. Thomas Hansen, 917 Osborne radiologist at Mercy Hospital, was inducted into membership.
