Taxmen Due To Take In $203 Billion Washington (UPI) Governments at all levels will collect a ecord $203 billion in taxes from the American people during the current 1967 fiscal year, the Tax Foundation estimated.

The foundation, a private, nonprofit organization, said the combined Federal, state and local levies will cost the average family about $3,300. That would be an increase of $1,400 over 1956, when total tax collections came to $100 billion. IN THE 14th edition of its handbook, "Facts and Figures on Government Finance," the foundation also reported: 1. Taxes in 1965 amounted to 27.3 per cent of the gross national product. 2.

State government spending and revenues climbed by 100 per cent in the last decade: 3. Cities and counties are making increasing use of income taxes. Local revenues from this source have tripled since 1954. Included in the total of $203 billion to be collected in the current fiscal year are $140 billion in Federal revenues, and $63 billion in state 'and local revenues.
