George Sonines, Former Civic Theater Head, Dies At Denver Funeral services will be held today at Denver, for George Somnes, actor, theatrical producer and former director of the Civic Theater here. Mr. Somnes, once a member of the old Stuart Walker Stock Company here, died Wednesday in his Denver home. Mr. Somnes was named director of the Civic Theater in August, 1929, following his stint with the stock company, MR.

SOMNES was born in Massachusetts and was educated in Europe. His theatrical debut was in Mexico City. His first Broadway appearance was in a play produced by William A. Brady. He then went to London and was the first American to gain prominence in the Old Vic Theater, with his interpretation of King Claudius in Hamlet.

After leaving Indianapolis in 1931, Mr. Somnes went to Hollywood as a director for Paramount Pictures. Cox, Former Circuit Court Judge, Dies Earl R. Cox, Democratic leader and judge of the Marion County Circuit Court for two terms, died yesterday in his home at 4770 Kessler Boulevard, North Drive. He was 68 years old. Mr. Cox had suffered a heart attack last October, but had partly recovered and worked in his office in the Indiana Trust Company Building as late as last Wednesday.

He was Circuit, Court judge from 1933 until 1945. From 1948 to 1950 he served as deputy, state attorney general under the late James Emmett McMannamon. Born in Indianapolis, Mr. Cox was graduated from Monticello High School. He was graduated from the old Indiana Law School in 1908 when he was 20 years old.

He was forced to wait several months before he came of age and could be admitted to the bar. IN 1908 MR. COX was apattorney County. He assistanon prosecuting held the position until 1914. Enlisting in the Army in 1917, he was discharged as a captain at the end of World War I and returned to Indianapolis.

He entered the law firm of Holmes, McAllister and Cox. When it was dissolved he joined the office of Robinson, Symmes and Melsen. In recent years he had maintained his own office. Mr. Cox was praised by his associates for his interest in young lawyers and the help he had given in starting them in their profession.

THREE YEARS AGO he spent almost a year establishing a schedule of legal fees for the Indianapolis Bar Association. Charles P. Walker Dies; Rites To Be Monday Funeral services for Charles Pemberton Walker, 88 years old, representative for Western Honey Producers Association who died Wednesday night in his home at 922 East 49th Street, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Flanner Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Born at Cincinnati, in Monroe County, Mr.

Walker had lived here 35 years. He had been representative for the honey producers group 20 years and earlier was representative of New England and Northwestern Mutual Insurance companies at Terre Haute 18 years. He was a member of East 49th Street Christian Church, past master of Euclid Masonic Lodge at Haute, past master of Sullivan Masonic Lodge and a member of Knights Templar at Terre Haute. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Edythe Walker; a son, Charles Harold Walker: a daughter, Mrs.

Stanis Clark, all of Indianapolis, and a stepson, Edwin Richard Fristoe of Peoria, Ill. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. HIS WIFE, whom he married in 1936, was is the former Miss Helen Bonfils, secretarytreasurer of the Denver Post. They formed the firm of Bonfils and Somnes, which produced many Broadway shows. Mr. Somnes also was active in building the Bonfils Memorial Theater, opened in 1953, the first playhouse built in Denver in 40 years. Mrs.

Laura Sterling Mrs. Laura Agnes Sterling, 59 years old, died yesterday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Helen Patterson. Born at Bedford, and a resident of Indianapolis 37 years, Mrs. Sterling was a cook at Miller's Restaurant, 3901 East Washington Street, 14 years.

Her home 833 Bradshaw Street. She also is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Thelma Mabry; two sons, Allen R. Sterling and Emmett G. Sterling: her mother, Mrs.

Addie Stone, all of Indianapolis; a brother, Lewis Stone of West Newton; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in J. C. Wilson Chapel of the Chimes.

Burjal will be in New Crown Cemetery, Mrs. Lucy Keeler Mrs. Lucy Keeler, 80 years old, 626 Massachusetts Avenue, an Indianapolis resident 30 years, died yesterday in General Hospital. A native of Carrollton, she was the widow of Frederick Keeler. Survivors are a sister, Mrs.

Hattie Batts of Indianapolis, and four nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Hisey and Titus Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rosenblith Funerals To Be Held Today Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Sear Rosenblith, 28 years old, and her mother-inlaw, Mrs. Gabrielle Rosenblith, 70, who were killed Wednesday in an automobile accident near Roanoke, will be held here today. Services for the younger Mrs. Rosenblith, a well-known ballerina and wife of Eric Rosenblith, concertmaster of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, who was injured in the crash, will be held at 2:30 p.m, in Christ Church Cathedral.

Cremation will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. FUNERAL SERVICES for Mrs. Gabrielle Rosenblith, mother of Eric, will be held at 11 a.m. in Aaron-Ruben Funeral Home with burial in BethEl Zedeck Cemetery. Surviving the elder Mrs.

Rosenblith is another son, Walter Rosenblith of Brookline, Mass. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Margaret. Rosenblith is survived parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Albert Sears, and a sister, Miss Dorinda Sears, of London, England. Eric Rosenblith is reported in fair condition in Huntington County Hospital, Huntington. Mrs. Emma Foresha Mrs. Emma M.

Foresha, 73 years old, 323 South Taft Street, died yesterday in her home after an illness of three months. Born at Hope, she had lived in Indianapolis 30 years. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in G. H.

Herrmann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery at Elizabeth, Ind. A sister, Mrs. Proutis Alberts of Miami, survives. I Robert H.

Cox, 63 years old, Clermont, died yesterday morning in Methodist Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Cox, who was born in Wolfdale, had lived in the Indianapolis for 35 years. He had been employed by LinkBelt Company for 32 years. He was a member of Clermont Methodist Church, Clermont Lions Club, Bridgeport Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine, and was president of Masonic Pin Club of Link-Belt Company.

He was a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Clermont Methodist Church. Burial will be in Clermont Cemetery. Mr.

Cox is survived by his widow, Mrs. Blanche Cox; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Florence Goode Crawford, both of Clermont; a brother, Howard Cox of West Finley, two, sisters, Mrs. Orpha Holland Washington, and Maude of Morgantown, W. and five grandchildren.

Robert H. Cox Dies In Hospital a Mrs. Maggie Boykin Burge, 85 years old, died early yesterall day in her home at 714 East Walnut Street. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Mrs. Burge a member of 49th Street Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held Mrs. Andrew Burge at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Flanner Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Surviving are the husband, Andrew Burge; three sons, Walter M. Burge, Judson N. Burge and Raymond N.

Burge; a daughter, Mrs. Captolia Owens; a brother, Raymond Davis, all of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Green, 61 years old, 5665 College Avenue, widely-known Indianapolis accountant and civic worker, died yesterday in West 10th Street Veterans' Administration Hospital.

Born at Indianapolis, Mr. Green ran public accounting and tax analyst office at 912 Westfield Boulevard in Broad Ripple. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Broad Ripple Methodist Church and treasurer of its building fund, a past master of Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge 319, a member of Broad Ripple American Legion Post 312, Scottish Rite, Order of Eastern Star and a member of the advisory council of Mustard Chapter Order of DeMolay. In addition, he was a past president of Indianapolis Chapter of the ciety of Public Accountants, past president of Northside Florence E.

Schwerin services for Mrs. Florence Schwerin, 89 years old, Indianapolis resident, held at 10 a.m. former, Saturday at Richmond. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery, Richmond. Mrs.

Schwerin died Wednesday in Reid Memorial Hospital at Richmond. She was born at New Paris, but lived in Indianapolis most of her life. She moved to Ohio three years ago. She was a member of Third Christian Church here. Says Dukes Eccentric London (UP) The Duke of Rutland told a Conservative Party meeting that "all dukes are supposed to be eccentric.
