Louis Chernin Dies In Hospital Louis Chernin, 64 years old, 532 East 54th Street, died yesterday in St. Vincent's Hospital. A retired merchant and a native of Russia, Mr. Chernin was an Indianapolis resident 45 years. He was a member of Shara Tefilla Congregation and served 19 years as treasurer of the congregation.

He also was active in the Zionist organization. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in AaronRuben Funeral Home with burial in Shara Tefilla Cemetery. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Sadie Chernin; two sons, Sam and Albert Chernin, and two daughters, Mrs.

Harry Brodey and Mrs. Bernard Cooper, all of Indianapolis; a brother, Alex Chernin of Miami, and four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Elkin, Mrs. Elizabeth Sachs and Mrs. Max Melvin, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs.

Michael Lyons of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. George O. Olinick INDIANAPOLIS STAR Elmer E. Hitchcock, Retired Engraver, Dies THE Salem, Ind. (Spl.) -George O.

Olinick, 68 years old, former art director for the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce, died yesterday in his home at Pekin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hollis Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Mr. Olinick had lived in Indianapolis until three years ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Indiana Admens Club, the Indianapolis Art Club and the Brown County Art Colony. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Ruth Bierly Olinick; two sons, Charles B.

Olinick of Pekin and George A. Olinick of InNancy Espil, living in Minnesota, and four sisters, Mrs. Nellie McCory of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Gertrude Norton of Miami, Mrs. Clara Deweese of Louisville and Mrs.

Ruth Bush of Indianapolis. Conrad W. Hill Conrad W. Hill, 57 years old, 138 East 48th Street, died yesterday in Cold Spring Road Veterans Administration Hospital where he had been a laboratory technician for many years. A lifelong Indianapolis resident, Mr.

Hill was a member of Olive Branch Christian Church and the Eagles Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A sister, Mrs. Catherine H. Thomas of Indianapolis, survives. Prunk, 90 years old, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital. He retired 10 years ago from practice. His offices were located several including the of Building. A LIFELONG Indianapolis resident, Dr. Prunk was the son of Dr.

and Mrs. Raniel H. Prunk. His father, a physician in the Civil War, opened practice here in 1856. Dr.

Prunk was a graduate of Shortridge High School, Wabash College and Jefferson Medical School at Philadelphia. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Pauline D. Prunk; two sons, Byron Parvin Prunk of Indianapolis and Horace Willard Prunk of Dearborn, three daughters, Miss Helen Louise Prunk and Mrs.

Elizabeth Ward, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Harriet Gregoire of New York City, and one grandson. Mrs. Ida M. Uehlein Mrs.

Ida M. Uehlein, 91 years old, died yesterday in the Little Sisters of the Poor Home. Born at Cannelton, she moved here 30 years ago. From 1947 to 1953 she resided with her son, Maurice Uehlein, at Bloomington where she was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Grinsteiner's Funeral Home. Requiem High Mass will be held a 9 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Surviving her besides her son is another son, Clarence Uehlein of Louisville, a sister, Mrs. Augusta Livers of Cannelton; a brother, T. R. Conner of Evansville, eight grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren. 77 Hanover Students Named To Dean's List Hanover, Ind.

College announced yesterday that 77 students, including 10 from Indianapolis, have been named to the dean's list fo. the first semester. INSTANT CHASE SANBORN Elmer E. Hitchcock, 74 years old, 6225 Carrollton Avenue, a retired photo-engraver, died yesterday in his home.

A. resident of Indianapolis most of his life, Mr. Hitchcock retired seven years ago after working 20 years as photoengraver for the Indianapolis Times. He formerly was with the Indianapolis Engraving Company. Mr.

Hitchcock was a member of Broad Ripple Methodist Church, Broad Ripple Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. Entombment will be in the Crown Hill Cemtery Mausoleum. Surviving are the widow, Mrs.

Tory Islanders Vote Early In Erin Election Dublin, Ireland (UP)-The 238 hardy inhabitants of Tory Isle, 9 miles from the Donegal mainland, got a seven-day jump on the country's other voters for the March 5 general election. The Tory islanders voted Tuesday in case periodic storms delay transport of the ballot boxes to the mainland. H. P.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Louisville. Mrs. Bessire, 65 years old, died Tuesday in her home. She was a native of Eagle Station, and moved here 43 years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of the Country Club of Indianapolis, Highland Golf and Country Club and the Indianapolis Athletic Club.

Her husband, P. A. Bessire, died in 1949. He was founder and president of the Bessire and Company, wholesale confectionary firm and suppliers of dairy and 1 bakery equipment. A sister, Mrs.

Skinner, who lived at North Sherman Drive, was born in Bartholomew County and had lived here nine years. She was a member of the Brightwood Christian Church and the Dorcas Circle of the church.
