On calling to her father, who has been sick for some months, and receiving no reply, she went to his room to find him prostrate on the floor and Ufa extinct. He had gotten out of bed and fell backward, and expired in a few-seconds.

The community sympathizes with Miss Edna in her loss, as her mother died in the West years ago. This leaves her alone to battle out lift's mystery. "Uncle John," as he was familiarly called, had been sick for several months, but the last few days Beemed so much betttr that, hopes for his recovery were entertain. He moved with his parents to Indiana where he resided until death. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Manerva Hockenbarger.
