An exciting time was reported by those whose duty it was to convey Mrs. Ward to the county house. Most of the people in the county are acquainted with Ward. He moved, we believe, from Angola to Fremont about a year ago.

A few months ago he moved east some four miles, near the town line. About one week ago Mrs. Ward gave birth to a child, and they being entirely destitute of provisions or anything to make life bearable, our trustee was applied to for aid in their behalf. Upon investigation he concluded that the only way to give relief was to get them to the county house, where mother and child could be properly cared for.
