She was preceded in death by her husband, Novice Joe Cole, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dan) Small of Pleasant View, TN; two sons, Novice Joe (Julia Gray) Cole, Jr. (Joey) of Nashville, TN and Steven Craig (Leeann) Cole of Kingston Springs, TN.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Emeline Carol Thrash, Novice Joe Cole III (Jay), Luther Allen Cole (Luke), Austin Craig Cole and Jackson Kinser Cole. Other survivors include her brother, Joe (Nancy) Turner of Ashland City, TN; niece, Jill Cross of St. Louis, MO. Betty and her husband were founders and owners of LU, Inc. Following his death, she carried on the business.

Betty and her husband traveled extensively in Europe and the Caribbean, and after her retirement, she continued to enjoy traveling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Neptune United Methodist Church, co Donald Cochron, 1175 Justice Road, Ashland City, TN 37015-6192. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6th from 4-8 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100 in Nashville, TN. The funeral will be on September 7, 2013.

A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with a service to follow beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Penny Stratton officiating, followed by Interment in the mausoleum at HARPETH HILLS MEMORY GARDENS, 646-9292 BROWN, Edward E. Age 92 of Nashville, TN. Passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013.

Mr. Brown was born June 9, 1921 in Memphis, TN; where he was educated in the Shelby County school system. He worked several years at St. Thomas Hospital as a Security Officer. He was a loyal dedicated member of Schrader Lane Church of Christ.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Survived by his loving wife of many years, Manerva T. Brown; devoted niece, Patricia (Ray) Bell; and devoted great niece and caretaker, Karen "Neecy" Young. Survivors also include his great nieces, Sharon Waggoner Sheledia (Derrick) Talley; great nephews, Darin (Teresa) Bell, Darnell (LaToya) Young, Phillip and Kenneth Waggoner; devoted family and friends, Constance Jones, James Connie Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dedicated friends.

Public viewing 3-5 p.m. Thursday, September 5th, at funeral home. Funeral services will be Friday, September 6th. Visitation 11 a.m. 12 Noon on Friday; with funeral to follow at Schrader Lane Church of Christ, 1234 Schrader Lane, Nashville, TN 37208.

O.W. Charles; son, David W. Charles; brother, E. Ray Hudgens; and parents, Edgar W. and Cora Mayo Hudgens.

She is survived by grandsons, Derek B. and Wesley P. Charles; sister-in-law, Sue Hudgens; daughter-in-law, Patsy Fortenberry and three nieces. She was educated at Central High School and George Peabody College in Nashville, TN. For many years she lived in Athens, GA where Dr.

Charles was a professor at the University of Georgia. During that time, she was very active in St. James United Methodist Church and a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital. In 1993, she returned to Nashville and, at that time, became a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church.

Services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN with visitation Sunday, 2-6 p.m. and one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison, TN with friends and family serving as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.

Fred Allen Lewis. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Jo Ann; sons, Terry (Cathy) Jerry (Sheila) Lewis; daughter, Debbie (Harold) Herman; 8 grandchildren 5 greatgrandchildren. He was a member of Hillview Baptist Church, Al Menah Shriners, Goodlettsville Lodge 271, Scottish Rites of Nashville. He loved his family so very much he will be missed by all. He served in the U.S.

Air Force from January 1951-December 1954. In his younger years he raced stock cars motorcycles, later in life he became a fan of Nascar. Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd. on Thursday from 2-6 p.m. with a Masonic service at 6 p.m.

The service will be held in our chapel on Friday, September 6th at 9 a.m. Officiated by Pastor Steven Ramsey. Family friends the grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. J- Sjr fy flH PATTERSON, Mary-Jo-Age 59, died on September 2, 2013 in Franklin, Tennessee. Mary-Jo was proud of her New York and Irish roots, born in Brooklyn and living in Staten Island where she developed her love of horses and became a registered nurse. After moving to Tennessee, she continued her education, earning a health sciences degree from St. Francis University while working as a nursing manager and raising a family. Mary-Jo was a nurturer and teacher as well as a compassionate healer.

She fostered newborns to prepare them for lives with their adoptive parents. She became a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor while volunteering at Saddle Up, where she used her love and knowledge of horses to bring pleasure to children with disabilities. Mary-Jo is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mark; and their sons, Sean, Kevin and Kyle. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7th at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood, preceded by visitation at 10 a.m.
