sarah.payne OBITUARIES Dorothy Lynn Reynolds Dorothy Lynn Reynolds, age 45, of Hendersonville, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. She is Pk preceded Clayton and Kendall Key. Frances was a member of the First United Methodist Church in White House. She loved spending time at the Goodlettsville Senior Center, was a great cook, loved shopping, reading and a favorite thing to do was spending winter time in Florida. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 31 at the Austin Bell White House Chapel with Pastor Phillip Wright officiating. Interment followed at the White House Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin McClurkan, Mark Cagel, Neal Green, Jeff Powell, Mike Lankford and Donny Swindell. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Hales, Stan Douglas, Mark Snyder and Harry Meyer. In memory of Frances Lankford, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in White House.

Mary Frances Lankford Frances McClurkan Lankford was born March 21, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed away, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Alive Hospice Skyline Campus.

William Alfred Bell William Alfred "Bill" Bell, age 84, of Gallatin, passed away, Friday, July 28, 2012. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 10:30 a.m., at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 2601 Cages Bend Road, Gallatin. There will be a short visitation with the family at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Bill came to Gallatin with his mother, brother and sister after being present at the bombing of Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. Bill attended Gallatin schools; graduated from Tennessee Military Institute, Sweetwater, Tennessee, 1947; graduated from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, 1951. He then served as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict (1951-1953.) He would be quick to say that his time was spent in San Antonio and Denver while his brother, Clyde, was on the battlefield.

Bill spent his working years in management in the wood products industry in Hopkins-ville, Ky; Hazlehurst, Miss; and Hattiesburg, Miss. He was an active member of the Thursday Night Supper Club and the Friday Wisdom Group a.k.a. "Ole Geezers" at the Gallatin Country Club. Bill was loved by family and friends for his unfailing good humor and gentlemanly behavior. He was a lifelong member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, which his mother attended as a child in the 1800s.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Col. Clyde B. Bell, mother, Agnes McGlothlin Bell; brother, Col. Clyde B. Bell, sister-in-law, Gail G.

Bell; and son William A. (Billy) Bell. He is survived by his wife, Sandra McCoy Bell, of Gallatin; sister Dixie Bell Brittain (Joe), Hudson, Texas; daughter, Patricia Bell, Santa Fe, N.M.; daughter, Jerri Ger-lach (Dana), Clarksville; son, James Gerlach (Tina), Hattiesburg, son, David Gerlach (Denece) Hickory Creek, Texas; son, John Gerlach (Dorri) Laurel, 14 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a number of lifelong friends. Janice Brann Janice Brann, age 86, of Gallatin, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012.

Funeral service was Monday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Patton officiating. Entombment followed in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Dustin Brann, Dillon Brann, Isaac Brann, Brandon Frith, Richard Glasgow and Norman Freeman serving as pallbearers. Mrs.

Brann was born January 17, 1926 in Martin, daughter of the late Ray and Georgia Bryant Freeman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, John Bryant Freeman. She is survived by husband, William Roberts Brann of Gallatin; sons, Dale Brann (Colette) of Gallatin and Greg Brann (Rebecca) of Nashville; sister, Mavis Glasgow of Martin; grandchildren, Dustin Brann, Dillon Brann, Emily Garcia, Isaac Brann, Rachel Brann and Brandon Frith. Mrs. Brann was a teacher in Sumner County and retired from Davidson County.

Mrs. Cox worked at the public relations firm, Mott Co.

Dorthy Jeanette King, age 75, of Portland passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at The Medical Center in Franklin, Ky. Mrs. King was born in Fountain Head, the daughter of Charles and Ethel Culbreath. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ricky Culbreath.

Mrs. King is survived by her husband of Charles King of Portland; daughters, Sherry Link of Portland, Brenda Merritt of Franklin, Ky, and Debbie Howard of Westmoreland; son Michael Settles of Portland; brothers, Charles Steve, Donnie and Kenny Culbreath, all of Portland; and sisters, Loretta Anderson of Portland, Sandra Verekeen of Rockford, 111., and Mary Dillard of Franklin, Ky. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. King was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Graveside services were Monday at Old Brush Cemetery. Timothy Dale Humphrey Timothy Dale Humphrey, age 54, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his father Virgil Humphrey, Sr. and his brother Kenneth Brogdon. He is survived by his by her parents, Billy Shankle and Max-ine Sul-lins Hoard.

Reynolds Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her loving husband, Raymond E. Reynolds; children, Tiffany Nichole Shankle, Joseph D. Walker, Jennifer M. Reynolds; grandchildren, Christina, Tyler, Zachary, and Jac-quelynn Jeffers; brothers, Ricky and Bryant Shankle; and sisters, Dolly Shankle and Bertha Ellis.

A life celebration was held Saturday, July 28 at the Hendersonville Funeral Home chapel. Interment followed in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Mary Lucille Shaub Mary Lucille Shaub, age 77, of Portland, passed away July 29, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. Lucille was born in Sumner County on March 9, 1935 to the late William Paul Tommie Dobbs and Clara Belle Brown Dobbs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wayne Shaub; brother, Paul Dobbs; sisters, Katherine Crowder and Ruth With-row.

She is survived by one daughter, Harriett Lyn (Michael) Silvey of Clarksville; two sons, Harry Wayne (Julie) Shaub, Jr. of Brentwood, David Anthony "Tony" (Becky) Shaub of Scottsville, Ky; sister, Dorothy Jane Dennis of Gallatin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home with Rev.

Mr. Parrish was a retired truck driver He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Parrish, mother Rosalea Simpson, wife Nancy Parrish, brother Larry Parrish, son Terry Parrish, and daughter Ronda Little. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Parrish, of Westmoreland; daughter, Tre-bia Johns, of Gallatin; son, Barry Parrish, of Be-thpage; step-sons, Rex Troutt, of Westmoreland, Ricky Troutt, of Gallatin, and Tony Troutt, of Westmoreland, as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was 72 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brooks and Mat- Lankford tie McClurkan and two brothers, Tommy and Paul McClurkan.
