Butch and Donna Noble and invited them out for supper. The supper was a Surprise party at Hubbell, for a large June Cooper June Loreen Cooper, daughter of John and Lucy Anderson, was born April 7, 1927 and died February 27, 2001, at the age of 73. June and her family lived and taught in Salina, Downs, Scandia, Glasco, Gaylord, Esbon (where she was the school accountant), Scandia (where she was the school secretary and clerk of the Board of Education), Natoma (where she was clerk of the Board of Education), and Quinter (where she was a teacher, secretary and clerk of the Board of Education). They retired in 1988 and moved to Salina. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Jennifer Barlow; a grandson, Robert Cooper; two brothers, Leo Anderson and Carroll "Pete" Anderson. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Alan Cooper, Moore, OK; Stevan Cooper, Chase; Richard Cooper, Hays; one daughter, Nancy Barlow, Lyons; two brothers, William Anderson, Delphos; Larry Chamberg; three sisters. Myrtle Casey, Lakewood, CO; Nelda Begnoche, Miltonvale; Joan Brown, Salina. Funeral services were March 3, Ryan Mortuary, officiated by Rev. Paul Robbins.

Graveside services were at Glasco Cemetery, Glasco Bernadine Kathrineberg Bemadine L. "Bing" Kathrineberg, daughter of William Hill and Lulu Marie Arpp, was bom April 5, 1911 at Norfolk, Nebraska and passed away at Kenwood View Nursing Home in Salina, Kansas on March 4, 2001. Bernadine was a homemaker and farm wife with her husband, Arthur, near Republic, Kansas in Jewell County until 1961 when she moved to Salina where she was a food service worker for Salina schools. She was a member of the University Methodist Church and was a member a Past Grand Noble of the Miriam Rebekalis Lodge in Salina. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Billy; and a daughter, Barbara Diane.

She is survived by one daughter, Kay Peters of Yukon, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at the Ryan Mortuary in Salina with the Rev. Robert Conway officiating. A commital service was held at 2:00 p.m.

Gene Havel and Clair of Cuba, and Victor Havel, Jr. of Fairbury, Nebraska; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, march 5, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Baelielor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Memorial Chapel in Belleville conducted by Reverend Robert Hovorka. Burial was in Zion Cemetery, Rural ralmo.

Ethyl Lowell Olson Ethyl May Lowell, daughter of Guy and Maude Nutter Lowell, was bom March 21, 1902 and died February 27, 2001 at the age of 98. She attended the Zion rural school near Talmo and later graduated from Belleville High School. She then attended Normal Training in Belleville in order to secure her Teachers Certification. She taught in Cloud and Republic County rural schools. She was married to David N.

Olson on November 25, 1922 at the Catholic Church in Belleville. David died October 10, 1964. The lived in the Hollis and Clyde communities and later in Concordia. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers, Dr. P.R. Lowell, Loyd Lowell, Dr. O.G. Lowell, and Art Lowell; 2 grandchildren, a step son, and a son-in-law, Harold Quebbeman.

She is survived by a daughter, Jean Quebbeman, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons, Keith Olson, Huntington Beach, CA; Lowell Olson, Muscotah, KS; sister, Fleeta Sjolander, Concordia; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, in- laws, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Chaput- Buoy Funeral Chapel in Concordia with Dennis Knapp officiating. Burial, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Evan Skupa Evan Joe Skupa, son of John and Mary Fencl Skupa, was born November 11, 1919 in Haddam and died February 24, 2001 at the age of 81. On Dec.

12, 1954 in Kennett, MO he married Josephine Lewis. He was a World War II Army Veteran, serving in the Mediterranean Threatre where he was awarded five bronze stars. He was a member of First Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge AF and AM of Kennett, MO, 349 of Narka, Scottish Rite and the Boothill Shrine Club. He was also a retired civil service employee. He was preceded in death by his wife.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Anne Skupa, Kennet, MO; Carol Jo Erickson, Chicago, IL; one brother, Edward Skupa, Haddam; three sister, Bessie Stolzenburg, Clyde; Sylvia Kvasnicka, Narka; Helen Frye, Haddam. Graveside service was Thursday, March 1, in Kennett, MO.
