The Independent, February 3 Wed Dr. Patricia Susanne Wirtz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Wirtz of Watertown, So.

Dak. was united in marriage February 1, to Dr. Barry John Lankhorst, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lankhorst of Hawarden, Iowa.

The ten a.m. wedding mass was officiated by Rev. Thury St. Joseph's Cathedral Chapel, Sioux Fatys. Baskets of yellow and white mums adorned the altar.

The bride wore a wedding gown of white silk organza encrusted with clipped lace and seed pearl insets, with a chapel length train gathered at the waistline. Her shoulder length veil fell from a petal cap of pearls. She carried a nosegay of yellow and white pompons with baby's breath and yellow streamers. The maid of honor, Dr. Emma Ledbetter of LaCrosse, Wisconsin wore a floor length gown of moss green crystalline and ecru lace.

She carried a nosegay of yellow and bronze pompons with baby breath. The groom, was at fired in a grey tuxedo with black velvet lapels. Dr. Arlan of Lubbbck, Texas was the groom's honor-attendant. Dr.

John Morton and Dr. James Powell of Sioux Kails were ushers. All the men in the wedding party were attired indentical to the groom and wore white carnation The bride's mother wore a blue floor length knit gown with a yellow corsage. The groom's mother wore a floor length knit gown of mint green with a shoulder corsage of yellow and bronze mums. A buffet brunch was held at Westward Ho Country Club in Sioux Falls immediately following the ceremony.

Mrs. Jim Powell registered the guests. The newlyweds are spending their honeymoon in Colorado after which they will reside in Sioux Falls where they are associated with MeKcnnon Hospital. Drs. Lankhorst and Lankhorst are both graduates of the University of South Dakota at Vermillion, So.Dak.

They attended medical schools at the University and also at Texas Tech Medical School in Lubbock, Texas, from which they received their Doctor of Medicine Degrees. Named To Dean's List Jon Holmdal of Hawarden has been named to the Dean's Honor List in The University of South Dakota School of Education. Jon achieved the high honor roll by maintaining a 3.7 to 4.00 grade point average. Dinner Theatre Sunday A fun bill of fare is en tap for those planning to attend the dinner theatre sponsored by Epsilon Eta this Sunday night at the Seco gym. Members of the Akron Community Theatre will present three one act plays, all comedies, with casts composed entirely of women.

The first play, "Consolation" by Charles George, is a farce concerning a woman who enters a hospital to escape a nervous breakdown only to be driven near the brink of insanity by the mad goings on. John Woskoff is directing a cast consisting of: Marcene Heeren, Mary Lou Mitchell, Marilyn Snook, Wanda Philips and Nancy Ericson. The middle play by W. Gordon Mauermann, is entitled "Just Us Girls." Craig Boetgei; directs this play about four women who gather together for a committee meeting only to gossip and recall the past turning everything into a melee of velvet-sheathed claws and running mascara. The cast includes: Peggey Searl, Karen Wilier, JoSandra Jammerthal, and Sharon Frerichs.

The final offering will be "Save Me a Place at Forest Ixiwn" by Lorees Yerby. Two elderly ladies, while having luncheon at their favorite restaurant discuss the events of life in general, finding among other things, that while love may come and love may go, true friendship endures forever. Nella Lily and Vera Ross are directed by Francis Blum. All three plays combined offer you an evening of live theatrical entertainment and lots of laughs. Price is $8.00 per couple. Circles Meet Si. Theresa Circle of St met for a noon luncheon Tuesday. A bingo party washeld following the luncheon. St.

Francis Circle held their regular monthly meeting Thursday evening in St. Mary's Hall. Obituary Henry Henry Janssen, B3, Le Mars died Friday at his home following an extended illness. He was a retired farmer. Mr.

Janssen was born April 3, 1891 in Reading township, Sioux count the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Janssen. He was married 'Jan. 9, 1913, to "Frances Meyer at Christ Lutheran' Church, Grant township, by her father, Rev: Johann Meyer.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John American Lutheran church, Le Mars, with Rev. Arnold Imbrock officiating. Burial was in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home.

Mr. Janssen was a mem her of St. John church. Survivors are his wife, Frances, Le Mars; four daughters, Mrs. George (Martha) Vander Tuig and Mrs.

Bill Uxjona) Lancaster both of Le Mars; Mrs. Bernie (Marie) Van Roekel, Manson and Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Hansen. Cathedral City, Calif; four sons, Alfred, Maurice, Hudson, S.D.; Elmer, Reno, Nev. and Fred, Roseburg, a brother, Dick Janssen, Hawarden and a sister.

Fred Buseman of Des Moines (formerly of Hawarden) and Mr. and Mrs. William Van Regenmorter of Sioux Center are happy to announce the engagement of their children, Linda and Wayne, Linda is employed at the Sioux County Assessor's Office in Orange City. Wayne is a 1974 graduate of Northwestern College and works as a foreman at Sioux Preme Packing Company in Sioux Center. He plans on enrolling in New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey, in the fall.

A June wedding is being planned. Honored At Open House Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mulder observed their 65th wedding anniversary on Monday Feb. 10 at the home of their daughter, Mr.

and Mrs. Jake Kramer, in Ireton. Open House was sponsored in their honor by their children. House Warming Held A house warming was held on Mrs. George Eilks.

The uninvited guests were Mrs. Marilyn Orton, Mrs. Helen Falk, Mrs. Marge Rembe, Mrs. Emma Swanson, Mrs.

Helen Schiefen, Mrs. Hazel Goodmanson, Mrs. Dorothy Norberg, Mrs. Leon a Smizer and Mrs. Dale Edmunds.

A social afternnon was enjoyed. A lovely lunch was served from material brought in by the guests. Mrs. Eilks was presented a gift for her new home. Engagement Mr.
