At the end of her long career, she encountered adversity which she met with courage and fortitude. She was a tower of strength to her family and friends and overcame much in her life. She was honest, hard working and she always loved the underdog especially when it came to rescuing animals. She was an accomplished athlete, running marathons and climbing mountains (including Mt.

Everest) all the way through 201 3. But most of all, Mary brought people together in her career, in her family, and in her community. She touched people's lives in profound ways and her sudden illness and passing is a loss too great to fully communicate.
