FROSTBURG KEYS It And Tri-Stafte Area News (6) Evening Times, Monday, October 29, 1951 Campus Day Observed At State Teachers College 270 seniors Irom, the high schools of area counties visited Frostburg State Teachers College on Campus Day, Fridaj to learn about the program and facilities of the college. Students' from AHegany, Washington Garrett and Frederick counties, conducted by Future Teachers of America student guides, nude classroom visitations, 'and a tour of the college buildings and campus. The academic and social program of the college was outlined and explained. Van Newkirk. guidance counselor of the college, met with high school counselors during the morning.

The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint them with the college and its in order to interest graduating classes in the college. The activities for the afternoon Included talk by Miss Lillian C. Compton, president, followed by the presentation of the play, "Utter Relaxation." by the Little Theatre. Movies of life on the campus were shown by Dead Ivan C. DiehL schools represented were Accident, Bruce, Fort Hill, St.

Peter's, a a 11 Williamsport, BeaH, Allegany, Oakland, -Central, St. Mary's, Friendsville, Hancock, Clearspring, Barton, Oldtown and £mithsburg. Brief Mention Mrs. Raymond Robertson and daughter, of Gilmore; Mrs. Robert Lancaster and daughter, of Midlothian; Mrs.

State Trooper Harry Rook from Bedford last week arrested Glen A Barrett, of Hopewell F. D. 1. on a three-year-old charge of stealing $100 from John William Bayer. Barrett had just returned to his home after working as a cow puncher in Arizona for the past three years.

According to police the money was taken during a burglary- Aug 7, 1948, while Barrett was on furlough from the army. He now is being hold without bail in Bedford county jail to await court action. Barton Girl Feted At Shower Event FROBT.BU.ktG Russell' McMurdo and Mrs. William Lyons entertained a recent evening at the Lyon'S'hpme, East Main Street, with a linen shower in honor of Miss Jean Russell, Barton. Miss Russell became the bride of Daniel McMurdo, Clarysville, Saturday afternoon. The home was decorated with fall flowers and a pink and white color scheme was carried out. Games were played and prizes won by Miss Melda Engle, Miss Regina Delaney and Miss Russell.
