DECEMBER 1, 1948 INDIANAPOLIS STAR 17 E. G. Frazier, Former I.U. Teacher, Dies Friends here learned yesterday of the death in California of Prof. Edgar G.

Frazier, former professor in the Indiana University extension division. Associate professor in the English department at Indiana University, Prof. Frazier taught there from 1915 to 1934. He developed the university's department of oral English, public speaking, dramatics and debating. He lived in Indianapolis after he retired in 1934 until he moved to California in 1941.

He lived six years at Carvel-by-the-Sea. A former member of the Columbia Club, Prof. Frazier is survived by the widow, gar G. Frazier, and a daughter, Miss Margaret Frazier. Mrs.

Anna R. Wyss Mrs. Anna Regina Wyss, 86 years old, 2434 Adams Street, an Indianapolis resident 45 years, died yesterday. Born at Huntington, Mrs. Wyss was a member of St.

Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was the widow of Constantin Wyss, who died in 1922. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Anna T. Kopp, Mrs.

W. Christiansen and Mrs. Cecilia Wenz, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Julia D. Gill, Berwyn, a sister, Mrs.

Teresa Speaker, Fort Wayne; a brother, James J. Erpelding, Indianapolis, 18 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis de Sales Church.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Melville Surface Funeral services for Melville Surface, 78 years old, formerly of Indianapolis, were held yesterday in Port Angeles, Wash. He had lived there for the last four years and died at home Jast Friday. Mr.

Surface had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad in Indianapolis 47 years. He retired 10 years ago. He was a member of Belmont United Brethren Church. Survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Schnell, Port Angeles; and four sisters, Charles and Roy Brooks, Greenwood, Mrs.

Cougill, Father Of Parks Head, Dies Anderson, Nov. 30 (Spl.) -Charles W. Cougill, 76 years old, Anderson, died here today. was the father Kenneth Cougill, state parks director. The elder Mr.

Cougill worked 20 years for the Prudential In- surance Company here before retiring. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Albright Funeral Home here. Burial will be at Parker. Mr.

Sunman Nicholas Hartman, 94. Kenneth Richey Kenneth Richey, 40 years old, a resident of the city most of his life, died Monday in his home, 2743 Adams Street. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Tabernacle Church at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev.

Lena 0. Spillman will officiate. Burial will be in Washington Park Cemetery. Born in Greenfield, Mr. Richey came here as a child with his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Alfred Richey. A sheet metal worker by trade, he had been employed at the R. B. Annis Company the last 10 years.

He was a member of the Christian Church and the Junior Mechanics. Tabernacle, In addition to the parents, he is survived by the widow, Mrs. Estelle Richey; two daughters, Beverly Ann Richey and Norma Darlene Richey; two brothers, Donald Richey and Harry Richey, and three sisters, Mrs. Madge Huffman, Mrs Doris and Miss Wilberta Richey, Rooster Indianapolis. George W.

Osborn George W. Osborn, 83 years old, R.R. 12, Box 214, a retired wholesale grocer, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital. He lived in Indianapolis 30 years. Mr.

Osborn also operated a bookstore Elwood for 20 years. He was in Norwalk, O. Mr. Osborn was a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church and Quincy Masonic Lodge, Elwood. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.

Thomas, both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Charles R. Osborn, Lake Odessa, and Walter Osborn, Sandusky, and two granddaughters. THE Pvt. Milholland's Funeral Saturday Funeral services for Pvt. Leo A.

Milholland, 23 years old, 836 Lincoln Street, who was killed July 31, 1943, in North Africa, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the home and 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St.

Joseph's Ce metery. A native of I dianapolis, Pvt. Milholland was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He attended Emmerich Manual Training High School.

He was an electrician at Electronic Laboratories, two years. In service he was in the Field Artillery. Survivors include a son, David La Larry Milholland, Indianapolis; two sisters, Miss Gertrude Milholland and Mrs. Norman R. Ford, Indianapolis, and two brothers, Bernard Milholland, Phoenix, and Paul Milholland, Indianapolis.

John C. Cline John C. (Jack) Cline, 65 years old, 2055 Broadway, died yesterday in his home. He was born at Clayton and lived here the last 16 years. Mr.

Cline was a remodeling contractor and real estate man here, with offices in his home. He previously was engaged in business 24 years at Mooresville. He was a member of Clayton Presbyterian Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Florence B.

Cline; a daughter, Mrs. Ida Harshman, Long Beach, and a sister, Mrs. A. Indianapolis. Funeral arrangements have been completed.

Mrs. Richard Phillips Funeral services for Mrs. Amy Phillips, 61 years old, East 36th Street, who died Monday in her home, will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow Flanner Buchanan Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Indianapolis, Mrs. Phillips was graduated from Indiana State School for the Deaf. Se was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include the husband, Richard H. Phillips; a son, Richard M.

Phillips, Speedway; a sister, Mrs. Ura Cunningham, New Palestine, and a brother, Verna Martin, Chicago. Expert To Confer On Segregation In City Schools Thurgood Marshall, New York chief special counsel of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, will confer with Indianapolis NAACP attorneys here Friday and Saturday on the issue of racial segregation in the city's schools. Henry J. Richardson association here, said subject of discussions will be an attorney, injunction suit to force the Board of School Commissioners to abolish its segregation policy.

The group also will discuss a survey on segregation in schools being conducted by the Indianapolis Community Relations Council. Mrs. Aaron Holt Funeral services for Mrs. Readia Holt, 39 years old, 842 North Capitol Avenue, who died Monday in General Hospital, will be held tomorrow in Jacobs Brothers' West Side Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Holt was born in Indianapolis. Survivors include the husband, Aaron Holt; her father, John Gray, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Begonia Royster and Miss Elizabeth Gray, Indianapolis, and a brother, John Gray Chicago. Mrs.

Ida Lutz Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Lutz, 86 years old. 3004 04 Clifton Street, who died in her home Monday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in G. H.

Herrmann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Born at Baltimore, Mrs. Lutz lived in Indianapolis 60 years. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors A America and Women's Benefit Society.

Surviving are a son, Walter Lutz, Indianapolis, and a granddaughter. Mrs. Margaret Glaze Mrs. Margaret E. Glaze, 85 years old, died yesterday in the home of a daughter, Mrs.

Bertha Tharp, 521 North Tremont Street. Born at Brownsburg, Mrs. Glaze lived in Indianapolis most of her life. Besides her daughter, she je survived by a grandson and great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Friday in Conkle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Company, and the Little Town O' Tailholt in James Whitcomb Riley's poem. The question was asked right after 150 of Rogge's fellow workers wished him well with a gift of a chime clock and $45 in cash. Rogge could say he would get plenty of rest now at Indianapolis-456 West 43d Street, to be exact.
