native of Lancaster, Pa, and a former missionary to China for 26 years, was unanimously elected by the congregation of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church as pastor at a special meeting following the morning worship yesterday. Dr. Taylor received his A3. degree from Muhlenberg College, his BJD. from Lancaster Theological Seminary, his from Hartford Seminary Foundation, and "his from Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster.

He did graduate work in education mt the University of Pennsylvania for two years and his post-doctorate work at the Theological College of "Columbia University. Dr. Taylor was professor of Greek four years at Schuylkill Seminary Beading, and pastor of Pearl Street Evangelical Church for four years in- Lancaster. He was appointed as missionary to China-In 1924 and served as dean and professor of education at Central China University, Wuchang, Eiipeki, China, until he received a furlough in June, 1950. He has been residing in Lancaster kince his return-from China.

last week was sentenced to life Imprisonment by a Somerset county jury for the roadside cabin slaying of a Downington architect on May 1. Terhune, who received the verdict nervously, was heard to murmur, he "would rather have gotten the electric chair." Va. The Bhrine Chanters of Osiris Temple, Wheeling, last night delighted a large audience in the Keyser High School auditorium, with a concert program. The Keyser Minlsterium voted to dispense with evening church services Jo permit attendance at the concert.
